An astonishing blunder by a Qatari player cost his country a place in the Asian Games quarter-finals.

Khalfan Fahad came up with one of the worst misses ever in the 1-0 defeat against Uzbekistan at the Games in China.

The 18-year-old's gaffe came in the first minute of extra time, with the game still goalless.

Uzbek goalkeeper Timur Juraev let the ball through his legs, presenting Fahad with an open goal, but he hit the post after inexplicably shooting with the outside of his left foot.

The luckless Fahad's expression after the miss said it all. And things went from bad to worse, as Ivan Nagaev hit the winner for Uzbekistan.

Fahad's team-nate Mohamed Sala Eineel said: "It's a bad moment for him. He's a young player and he's got to forget this one."

Lmao two left feet player.

Funny thing is misses like this always come back to hunt the players cos most times their teams end up on the losing side. I nor fit shout

That Oparanozie babe has had some atrocious misses since she came to limelight on the national scene with the Falconets and Falcons with her most recent being the goal she missed against Equatorial Guinea

I still like her though, cos she's fast, skillful, has positioning, ball sense and works hard for the team. She only needs to be more clinical in front of goal.

No 1) Was the keeper bribed? Jumped over the ball and then instead of going to tackle the guy facing empty net, dived like Drogba to the ground like if he was punched by the air.

No 2) If I was coach, that player would be banned for 10 games. He really lacks discipline.

Oparanozie is another striker-turned-defender i have ever seen, that girl knows how to waste clear chances, the one against EG broke the camel's back, menn that one and the one Yakubu missed kinda resemble small
