Cases of kidnapping are more rampant in Nigeria now, more than ever. However, the most surprising is the sudden surge of such incidents in the North. We used to know of Boko Haram as the major challenge in the region, but now, kidnapping has become even more worrisome.

From school kids to politicians and religious leaders, no one is excepted from the radar of these criminals. But when it involves young ones, the indication is that the problem here may be more about parenting and childcare.
