The Federal Government has paid to states, N157.35 billion Pay As You Earn tax liabilities owned by ministries, departments and agencies. Executive Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service and Chairman, Joint Tax Board, Tunde Fowler, yesterday said the amount represented outstanding liabilities of PAYE by MDAs to state governments from 2002 to 2016. He spoke in Akwa, Anambra State, at the south-east geopolitical zone leg of the flag-off of the New National Taxpayer Identification Number.
