Trash! Biafra is DEAD! Use different topic to present your thoughts.

When the Truth Prevails

When Sam Amuka with Sad Sam as his pen name came up with the idea of Punch Newspapers, he invited his friend Olu Aboderin to take care of the finances for him to stay focus on the publications.

They became partners on equal percentages on the ownership of Newspapers ready to challenge the control of the market by Daily times, Nigeria Tribune or so. The market wanted a fresh idea and Punch became the new thing then.

Unknown to him, his friend Aboderin an Accountant was playing with figures in the share distribution and by the time Sam Amuka realised what Aboderin did, it was too late.

Aboderin had used surrogates to acquire the shares of Punch until one day, Sam Amuka found his office locked up. His capital shares in the company had been reduced to less than 5 percent.

Sam took the case to the regular Court and public opinion court. it was hopeless for him to win in Nigeria Court. I believe the court blamed him for given open blanket trust to his friend. Some of the document he had signed without reading them, unknown to him the document were not in good faith.

Aboderin breached the trust his friend Amuka had in him however, Sam won his case in the minds of most Nigerians. He was cheated by a smart Accountant was the views of the public or what else could it be?

Somehow, Sam Amuka survived the depression, he rolled up his sleeves, he renewed his faith with his God, if he did it once he could do it again.

Punch Newspapers almost the favorite of all Nigerians was his baby, his sweat and production, his friend or enemy, an accountant confused him with figures not only in the board room but also in the Court.

Sam Amuka did the obvious with the support of Nigerians who saw his pain and tears. He established Vanguard Newspapers and his goodwill became the very foundation of his venture, he has learnt to show interest in figures of his new company more than just publishing news for Nigerians.

One good leason from the economic history is this simple, Sam Amuka never prayed for Punch Newspapers to fail, instead, he focused on Vanguard and both papers kept faith with the fresh ideas Sam Amuka laid down for the industry. He avoided Aboderin and never granted any interview on the matter, a decent man with a pen, a prolific writer with conscience is just one of the ways to acknowledge this man called Sam Amuka.

The smart man who took Punch from him is dead. Sam Amuka is still alive and will still be with us for a long time. God willing is the prayers of the Oracle whose pen name then was Sad Sam. God has been kind to Sam Amuka, he saw the end of his misfortunes and will never have to worry again.

Each time, the two newspapers are seen on the streets of Nigeria or online I still remember the legal matters of the seventies or eighties or so. It was a complete story on breach of Trust among friends.

Please let us learn something from this story. It is well , even in the well. Beware of greedy friends.

Bros, Biafria may be dead but the facts in the write up are real.
Nigeria ought to learn from the civil war. There was no fuel scarcity or corrupt oil subsidy scheme in Biafria.

How many cars were in Biafra>
How many motorcycles
How many roads
How many generators
How much fuel was actually being used in the whole of Nigeria?.

So many young people just assume Nigeria today is what it was in the 60s

There was no PH-Aba -Enugu express road. It did not exist.
Lagos Ibadan expressway did not exist
Lagos Benin expressway did not exist

The only airport in PH is what is now the Airforce base next to Bori Camp

Saying there was no fuel scarcity is like saying there is no champagne scarcity in Nigeria today
What is the actual demand for champagne(people who can pay for them?

Today you will find more motorcycles in Agege than there were in the whole of Nigeria.

The bottom line was that Biafra was able to refine it's crude oil LOCALLY and produced most of the things they needed LOCALLY because they couldn't import anything... let's give them some credit for it.

This resilience and ingenuity are what we need to replicate in modern day Nigeria.

Oduduwa is not an ideology, it is a civilization and a world order!

What is Biafra? A name coined by foreign pirates and donated to you by Ijaw.

The imaginary Oduduwa is nothing but a basket of cowards. This is an undisputable comment. Actions are louder than voices.

Nothing like Biafra. It died in 1970!

Alex Ekwueme was Vice President 10 years after the civil war. We had Senate President in 1999-2007. Our father, Ojukwu contested election for Presidency and was given a national burial when he died. What remains is President and Ndigbo should work towards that.
Kanu, Onwuka and Uwazuruike and all upcoming fake freedom fighter are all enemies of Ndigbo. They are political drawback to Ndigbo in Nigeria. What the Igbo's want is Presidency, 6 states to be at par with other zones, fairness, justice and other inputs that the National conference report highlighted.

Is your stream of thought informed by formal education? If there was nothing like Biafra, how can it die in 1970? I guess it died in 1970 because it had existed. Your dumbass expression could have been ranked along the line of average human intellect if you had stated that Biafra once existed but died in 1970.

Where do "Alex Ekwueme and freaking Vice President 10 years after the civil war" fit into the agitation for homeland? Even if Biafra or Republic of Igbo land is achieved today, those knuckleheads who would loved to make Nigeria or whatever that comes after it a place of abode are free to do so. In fact, they can equally move to Republic of Benin or Togo or Ghana and many of us who would settle on the new homeland will not give a ratass. They could even become the presidents of Oduduwa or Arewa, Ndigbo shall not give a damning hoot.

One wonders why some goons in Nigeria succumb into unforeseen convulsion at the mention of Biafra.
