And you wonder why Dubai is trendy. Lol.

We need to start granting license to people to own exotic pets. That's what civilized nations do. Is Nigeria even in any way civilised?

This country is just like a toddler learning to crawl at the age of 10

The question is "how did this animal get past customs and immigration without a license?"

Foreigner? Wow. That's what you saw?

Now it's clear that the average Nigerian is just as bad as South Africans, if not worse. When I hear racism, xenophobia, bla bla bla, I just shake my head. All dey inside all people

Na true you talk!

Recently in Kano when lion escaped from cage they had to dispatch a tranquilizer bearer from Abuja to Kano. Here in Nigeria tranquilizers for animals are not kept in stock. Look at that mopo standing with teargas canisters...now, those are always overstocked for humans. The only way to knock samba out is to hit am with alu wo! grin

This is a punishable offence, death by hanging straight.... You can imagine how many of us will visit the gallows. May God forbid it.

If you know you can't feed it, please leave it for the owner

Right.

Both owner and lion should be relocated to the zoo in that case. Animals such as this are called wild animals for a reason. The owner is very f00lish for pulling this stunt.

The cub looks well fed and looks like the owner has been able to take good care of it. Where'er that lion is going to now it's going there to suffer.

What rights does any citizen have to keep a lion as a pet without a valid official permit anywhere in the world?

Shut up! Dubai is a new comer to trend...and moreover, it is trendy for Nigerians. The rest of the world could care less about Dubai.
London, France, Germany, Amsterdam, Spain, Brazil....these places remain the hottest tourist attractions globally. None of them allow exotic cats as pets without a license and if you have them they cannot be kept in residential areas.

This Indian should be used to teach others a lesson.

I won’t be surprised if the Indian man doesn’t show up at all, he sent his Nigerian workers because he knows how things work in Nigeria he knows he’s bigger than the law, for him to bring a lion from God knows where to another man’s Sef irks me

Do you even know that you can buy a lion cub on Jiji right here in Nigeria? If you need any exotic pet, there are a lot of people in that trade in Nigeria

The person you replied is correct. The Indian has no right to violate the laws of his host country. Does he have license for the cat?
