Suggest Me A Nigerian Movie Please by NuhuRibadu: 11:17am On Nov 23, 2010 |
Let me start by saying I am not a movie freak and the last time I last saw a nigerian movie is prolly about 6-7 years ago. I, however, need to show a nigerian movie to 80 - 100 university students (who have, most prolly, not seen a nigerian movie b4). Need your advice, please, on a good movie to show them. BTW, dont want voodoo or church type of movie, but a movie with a good story line, sound and video quality. Thanks |

One of the best Nollywood movies I've watched was Naomi, written by John Okafor. Starring Kenneth Okonkwo, Omotala Jalade, etc. Never believed Mr. Ibu wrote that movie. Very touching. |

Secret Scandal. Not a fan of Nollywood myself, but my sister sent this to me as a 'must see' and I think it was worth the time spent. |

I guess if you want to show something to university kids, you will want to avoid the usual Nollwood romantic fare. Overlong, overwrought and over the top. Thunderbolt is a good movie. Its cultural with good production quality. |
