From my own understanding, we've already chose our path from heaven. Does this saying mean one's path that has been choosen from heaven can be changed?

Does it mean destiny can be changed?

The confusion is deeply rooted in religions, the documentation was for a larger consciousness systems before the Epochs, so the present existence is a Free Will Universe, so you are not bound to the scripted roles and predestination any longer as you are now living in a dispensation of free will, so choose any role and ask for divine guidance.

It is a new world, not the old.

mmm, all this talk about one's destiny, the destiny of the old man, one that Christ through his death has placed on the cross and ended. Didn't we see in scripture where is says old things are pass away (2Cor 5:17). This is a new creation, the old man is dead, and his destiny died with him. There is only the new man now, the man predestined to be conformed to the image of Christ. Yes there is but one destiny for all in Christ, and that destiny is conformity to the image of our Lord. Our focus right now should be on coming into conformity to the image of Christ.

I would re-word it to say that the "choice" to allow God to lead one towards one's destiny lies in one's hands.

The ultimate destination is the acceptance of eternal salvation, paid for by Jesus' death on the cross.
However, on the journey to that destination, after acceptance, comes a cleansing and sanctification process.
Each individual on this planet has a specifc, unique "calling" by God...if the person is interested in surrendering to Him.
But that is contingent on "choice"...or "freewill".
The "choice to tread one's own path/destiny" minus God's leading, is and will always be present.

How can one discover his/her call?

Probably you have been destined to be at Lagos and you are in Ibadan , can one's destiny be fulfilled there?
You have been destined to be a Governor and you are vying for the post of president, can it be achieved?

How can one knows his/her purpose/Role on earth?

Depends on how you look at it.

For me, i choose to see it from the lens of Gods ultimate purpose for man. The degree to which God has use for man varies. For example, Samson had a destiny which, despite his flouting of instruction, still held sway. Through Abraham, the world was to be blessed, and despite the fact that he got a child the wrong way, the promise still came through his loins.

No decision man makes can shock God. I believe that man's path has been decided from the word go. God isn't worthy of worship and reverence if things can go outside of His pre-designed will at some point, and it means he is no longer omniscient.

Some achievements and fulfillment of destinies come with specific instructions come with instructions, and when man disobeys it, God cannot be held liable. I believe this is the juncture where man's destiny lies in his hands. The destiny of the children of Israel was to make the promised land, but Moses placed a set of instructions before them, urging them to choose life. They didn't, and that generation perished in the wilderness.

The reason why a lot people suffer from stagnation is because there are out of their place in life. For instance, your destination is Lagos and you are headed to sokoto. You can never arrive at your destination. For you to find your place in life you need submit yourself totally to God. He will unveil it to you. That’s the only way.

There is no such thing as destiny. Your life is as you make it.

The only way is by sincere prayer to the Lord, reading of His Word, and developing a relationship with Him.

He will definitely answer you.
There will be confirmation (in multiple ways) to reassure you that it's from the Lord.
But you need to be willing to be led by Him..trusting that He, only, ultimately knows what's best for you.
