With the way Nigerian economy has been performing for the past couple of years, I always knew that this day will come.

What day am I talking about?

The day Nigerian Government will start increasing taxes Of working citizens to make up oil revenues.

Why is this dangerous?

For majority of Nigeria’s history, the federal government budget has always depended on oil revenues. In addition the various governments allocated vast majority of the budget to the northern states through very questionable population count and local governments creations.

NIGERIANS KEPT QUIET ABOUT THIS because when it comes to oil money, it doesn’t come from people pocket( except for those whose lands are destroyed and exploited)

But Now The Federal Government of Nigeria is now forced to rely More and More on Taxes from working people!!!

Taxes are not just from companies or cooperations but from peoples HARD EARNED money.

But they want to maintain the same allocation formula where the North continues to get the vast majority of the federal allocation.

This means that majority of the taxes coming from the working pockets of economically productive regions will end up in the hand of less productive regions.

This is a recipe for disaster and may eventually become the real issue that forces People to truly call for REAL RESTRUCTURING.

Hmmmm.

Na lie o!

We all die here. It must continue as before. In fact let's give it all to the North, they deserve everything.

Foolish sophisticated people.

This is just the beginning. I'll be the last to support restructuring on this grounds.

If it was okay to take from the ND and waste on the North, the same must happen on the tax revenues.

We must all continue to drink of the cup of stupidity as we have hitherto being doing.

Una good morning.

This is something that will cause serious political crisis if care is not taken. The current allocation formula cannot stand if ordinary citizens are going to be increasingly taxed as this government is planning on doing.
