Onyearugbulem successfully handed over power to democratically elected Gov Lucky Igbinedion in May 1999. He died July 2002 actively involved in politics & ANPP governorship aspirant in Imo State. How convenient to claim his death was related to his decision on Edo council of chiefs in 1998?

My questions:

But some facts first:

1) Edo Governor suspended Oba of Benin:
"Navy Captain Anthony Ibe Onyearugbulem suspended Oba of Benin for alleged partisanship in endorsing an APP governorship candidate. At a stage, some traditional priest in the Benin Kingdom threatened to launch spiritual warfare against his administration if he failed to apologise to the Oba of Benin. Onyearugbulem later apologised before leaving office."

2) Edo Government approved appointment of new Oba of Benin:
'The Edo State Government has approved the appointment of the Edaiken N’Uselu, His Royal Highness, Prince Eheneden Erediauwa, as the new Oba of Benin.

It explained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor that the approval was in line with Section 19 (1) of the Traditional Rulers and Chiefs Law, 1979 (as amended), adding that the appointment takes effect from ‎April 29, 2016.

In a letter dated May 24, 2016, and signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, titled, ‘Appointment of His Royal Highness, Edaiken N’Uselu, Crown Prince Eheneden Erediauwa, as the Oba of Benin’, the government said, “It is hereby notified for general information that in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 19 (1) of the Traditional Rulers and Chiefs Law, 1979 (as amended) and by virtue of all other laws enabling it in that behalf, the Executive Council of the Edo State Government of Nigeria has approved the appointment of His Royal Highness Edaiken N’Uselu, Crown Prince Eheneden Erediauwa as the Oba of Benin, with effect from April 29, 2016.”'

These, in addition to other instances across Nigeria, should answer the original question on this thread: A GOVERNOR CAN APPROVE/REJECT THE APPOINTMENT, REMOVE OR SUSPEND (in this case) ANY OBA, INCLUDING THE ONES IN OYO, IFE and BENIN.

When did this strange illness start?
You didn't know that Onyearugbulem apologized to the Oba even before the end of his tenure in Edo?
Are you insinuating that the Oba of Benin killed Onyearugbulem more than 3 years after he left Edo State?
