-INEC has promised to prosecute Yahaya
Bello

- The prosecution is as a result of the case of
double registration

- According to INEC, the case will be
reopened after Bello leaves office

Kogi state governor, Yahaya Bello will still be
prosecuted, the Independent National Electoral
Commission (INEC) has said.

The commission said it has not abandoned the
criminal case of double registration against the
governor.

This was disclosed by INEC national
commissioner and chairman voters education
and information committee, Festus Okoye.

According to him, Below is currently shielded by
the immunity clause which protects him against
any form of prosecution, The Nation reports.

“The case of double registration against the Kogi
state governor has not been abandoned but
there is nothing the commission can do now
because he is still under immunity. But by the
time the immunity expires, the Commission will
meet and take a decision on the next line of
action.

prosecution after leaving office - INEC promises

“We started with our Staff who were implicated
in the double registration first, while we have
to wait until the governor ceases to enjoy
immunity, which protects him against
prosecution," he said.

Why not wait to prosecute his corpse instead.

I hope Yakubu and his family has been placed on travel ban.

They couldn't prosecute him before second term due to the useless immunity they shamelessly gave governors. We are not serious in this country

Forget! INEC is a failed organization!!!

There's nothing organized about them!!!

Couldn't you have disqualified him immediately you noticed that

If another party was currently wearing this shoe, would it have being the same response

History will not forget the kind of brazened corruption going on in this regime in a hurry!!!

We still have some zombies saying that Buhari is here to wash Nigeria clean grin grin grin

Small thing them go flash the picture where he's taken donkey years to wash just one flag grin grin grin

Slow and unsteady, generating no result

Ehen see am

Same INEC that denied he was not involved in the so called double registration even before his first term? There is no agency that have not been infected with the APC lying gene under this regime.
