2020 ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY CELEBRATION IN DELTA STATE

It is hereby announced for the information of the general public particularly Deltans that the activities marking the 2020 Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration in the State will begin on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, with the Launching of the Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem/Appeal Fund, at the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba at 9.00am prompt..

His Excellency, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State is expected to preside over the Ceremonies as Special Guest of Honour and will flag off the launching of the Armed Forces Emblem/Appeal Fund.

And on Friday January 10, 2020, there will be a Jumat Service at the Central Mosque, Asaba at 2.00pm while on Sunday, January 12, 2020, an Inter-Denominational Church Service will hold at St Phillip Anglican Church, by AGGS Asaba at 9.00am.

The Grand Finale will hold Wednesday January 15, 2020 with a Military Parade and Laying of Wreath, at the Cenotaph, High Court Road, Asaba at 9.00 am prompt.

Accordingly, all top government functionaries, Permanent Secretaries, Chairmen and Members of Boards and Commissions, Traditional Rulers, Service Commanders, Executive members of the State chapter of the Nigerian Legion, Captains of Industry, Party Chieftains, the organized private sector, Stakeholders in the Delta State Project and public officers on Salary Grade Level 08 and above in the Delta State Public Service are by this announcement invited to attend the ceremonies.

Guests are to be seated at the venue for the launch of the Emblem-Appeal Week at 8.30 am prompt.
