Israel is a type of "the church" today. It was a tradition to pay tithes and they were happy doing it because it worked for them. Yes- If you are a church member or goer you are supposed to pay tithe or how do you expect the ministry to fund herself? The pastor spends day and night trying to read the bible get revelation and meaning and have no time to work in an office as you do. He deserve your tithe and offerings.
