Osinbajo Calls For More Support For Reforms In Nigeria’s Judiciary System by Kakaakinews: 5:43pm On Feb 07, 2020
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has joined other professionals to support the reforms in the Nigeria's judiciary system under “Run For Justice Initiative”.

Osinbajo described the initiative as “an idea that is conceived to enlist the support of everyone not just lawless but everyone in building an efficient and enduring justice delivery system on our country. Osaro Eghobamien, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, is running a marathon to galvanize support for this course.”

Speaking further, the Professor of Law and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo added that the “cause is a movement that will see professionals commit their time pro-bono (that is free of charge) to help in building situations that will enable a more effective justice delivery system, for instance the initiative is planning a remedial re-orientation programme for court registrars and court officials, and it is also setting up a foundation that will support the reform of the judiciary institutions in Nigeria.”

Recall last year President Muhammadu Buhari said “The government has been committed to a number of justice sector reforms, such as review of extant laws and enactment of new laws that will improve the lives of Nigerians.”

Urging the people to support the judiciary reforms, Osinbajo said: “I believe this is an initiative that deserves all our support. I support it and I urge you to support this worthy course.”

Another evidence that people are not accusing the Judiciary wrongly. Contrary to some APC supporters.

I wonder why we are so rational in reasoning

Delay in justice delivery is one of the seemingly intractable problems plaguing Nigeria’s judicial system. This is the reason why we all need to support "Run For Justice" . May God bless Nigeria
