Trump’s foremost ban in 2017 marked Muslim countries, these countries included Iran, Syria, Yemen, Libya, Somalia, Chad, Venezuela and Sudan and also although Visitors from Iraq and Sudan were banned previously, they are now allowed into the country. An extensive list which includes an additional of seven countries, which includes Tanzania, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Myanmar, Sudan, Eritrea and Nigeria, and a statement from white house reads “information sharing deficiencies and National security factor.” Were the reasons for the ban. But what happens to these countries in terms of security, well the underlying effect of the ban to global security would be alighted.

Nigeria, being the home of over 200 million people and the largest economy on the African continent, has worked with the United States of America military on joint operation in the fight of the Islamic group BokoHaram, they are responsible for dozens of kidnapping and a plethora of deaths around the northern region of Nigeria. But there has been no evidence that the Islamic group is a threat to the Americans, nor any history of terrorism on US soil, the United States Military complained of the Nigerian military feeding information to the Islamic group, I don’t find it surprising that the diplomatic ties has been severed, but I hope the United States military can always come to their aid, because fighting one of the most dangerous terrorist group in the world would be a very daunting task for the Nigeria Government.
