Even Supreme Court Misspells Disqualified Deputy Candidate's Name In Bayelsa by aran: 4:17pm On Feb 16, 2020 |
Now take a look at the names of Senator Degi Eremienyo in his credentials in which some of the names were misspelled by the institutions he went to that lead to him having sworn multiple affidavits and compare with the names written in the Supreme Court judgement. Assuming the Supreme Court was to be a degree awarding institution, Senator Degi Eremienyo will have to swear affidavits in the Law court as a new certificate will not be issued to him for the errors. In the said judgement, his name; WANGAGHA is spelt as WANGAWA, WANAGHA and WANAGBA respectively. EREMIENYO is spelt as ERKMIENYO. BIOBAKUMO is spelt as BROKUMO. BIOBARAGHA which is also a name spelt in error in one of his certificates is spelt as BIOBRAGHA by the Supreme Court. Now if the Supreme Court can make such typographical errors in a crucial judgement such as this one, how much more a certificate awarding institution. The last of this matter is yet to come. The Supreme Court now have to correct itself as the names and spellings in the judgement are not that of Senator Degi Eremienyo. Pressey Ebede 2 Likes

The supreme court is truly infallible indeed. Here is what Morris Alagoa, a foremost Niger Delta environmental activist and social commentator from Bayelsa state has to say on his Facebook wall post today: " Eagle eyes.....so, even the supreme court went ahead to misspell the names of the senator?......" 1 Like

This man is being unfairly treated. Institutions misspelled his names for which he got affidavits and then he is being punished for that. The court in giving judgement against him is also misspelling his name. Na wa o! 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Degi names may have been mis-spelt but he didnt do any diligence to get hard proof affidavits to confirmed these changes.Even in cases where he did, the affidavits ended up adding to the problem. 3 Likes 1 Share |

The fraud in this whole thing smacks from the following: Name change publication in Chronicle on July 2018 was supposed to correct all names but ended up creating more confusion. Court Affidavit of correction in August 2018 Court Affidavits in September 2018 Notary public certification of name September 2018 Then he claimed that his surname changed because he got a nembe chieftancy title Who in nembe have you heard had a name change because he got a chieftancy title All of above changes were made within 90 days (between July 30 to September 18, 2018), yet his form CF001 still had names not known to law as in above affidavits. Something is fishy, which he tries to hide, hence all these sudden changes and affidavits. Only a thief runs when noone is chasing him. The PDP team know this guy as he was one of them ... they know his falsehood. His real surname is EREMIENYO. Being that he is contesting for Deputy Governorship, he made attempt to rectify his falsehood, hence he tried to cover this by claiming it came from being given a chieftancy title ... what a lame excuse!!! By the way, it is a criminal offence to dispose to an oath FALSELY, which is what this man did for about FOUR times. His case should serve as deterrent to all those politicians who think that they can just present false information to the public.. The Supreme Court should stand by her decision and not bother tinkering with this FALSEHOOD! Fraud need to be punished severely! 3 Likes 1 Share |
