Quick post here. Wanted to share these videos. Will add more later when I have more time. A couple of the videos are from a Qari competition, which is kind of surprising to me. I would expect an exhibition, not a contest, featuring these talented and devoted Qaris. I expect there may have been controversy in the past and maybe even now about it. I would like to know if you're aware of some refusing to participate in the competitions due to their interpretation of what it means to be a muslim. I am most interested if anyone has links to Nigerian/African Qaris or other beautiful video or audio of quranic recitations.
