1. Old things meaning the law, your the same old person but under a new covenant. Your sins didn't just disappear you did them, and will still make mistakes.

4. Power to do God's will and not our imagination, He give according to His will some power to give and some power to help and yet others power to heal. The power of God in Samson did not do the same thing as in Elijah

Excellent write up cheesy
Old things refers to the old ways of doing things, character etc. Same person but new character ....no more lies, stealing etc

It has nothing to do with the law

JESUS CHRIST DID NOT COMMIT SUICIDE OOOO. BE GUIDED.
IF YOU COMMIT SUICIDE YOU ARE GOING STRAIGHT TO HELL. A GENUINE CHRISTIAN WILL APPRECIATE THE LIFE GOD HAS GIVEN HIM RATHER THAN KILLING HIMSELF. SHALOM

Critical thinking? That's not what religion is about..lol... By the time critical thinking enters religion then you'll realise that a lot of people will dump their faiths. That's not good for business grin

like I said earlier, God's power follows his will.

Anybody giving you power to do as you like is giving you a lie, from the devil.

God gave to everyone who receives the Holy Ghost according to his will (MEANING WE DON'T ALL HAVE THE SAME POWER SIMPLE)

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

Vs 16 is so clear

16So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.

2Cor 5 emphasized on wordly living and how to overcome it.

The minister of reconciliation is returning to God via Jesus Christ. Same ministry is committed to our hands. It has nothing to do with law

Worldly point of view, the system of the world and it's religious ways, still not speaking of a person's past sins.

What do you think new life is, it's the life of the spirit, the life that comes from grace while the old life speaks those living under the bondage of the law.

The basic message of the apostles.

What I'm writing to you wasn't taught to me by mortals men, but by the One who inspired the writing of scripture

Do you still want to call him a liar, just so you can be proved right undecided

Did you deliberately skipped the nlv translation part

From 1Cor, you ll see what worldly point of view is all about in the bolded below

Brothers, I could not address you as spiritual but as worldly—mere infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men? (1 Corinthians 3:1–3

Dear Christian, here are top 7 beautiful truths to always bear in mind. You should never forget them even in a hurry. At any moment of your life!

1. The Old You Is Totally Gone

You are not that man who was lost, completely immersed in sin and never cared about God. You are not that man anymore. You are a brand new man, not a “refurbished” sinner.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2Co 5:17)
You are the man in Christ, a new specie of men. A saint by default. That is who you are Now!
“Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours.” (1Co 1:2)

2. You Are The Righteousness Of God In Christ

What the above simply means is that you have been given an eternal righteousness in Christ. At every moment of your life, you are exactly as righteous as Jesus is. Every moment of your life.
“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (2Co 5:21)
“For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.” (Rom 5:17-18)
Do not ever let that slip from your mind. When the Devil brings up an accusation against you, you make sure you look him in the eye and tell him that.

3. The Spirit Of God Dwells In You And Will Never Leave

Your body is the dwelling place of the most high God. The Spirit of God lives in you, even now. You carry Him everywhere you go, everywhere. He doesn’t leave you when you are emotionally down or made some mistakes to come back later when everything is OK with you. No! Your body is His permanent place of abode and He has promised never to leave nor forsake you at any time of your life.
He is not in you for a visit. He is in you to stay eternally.
“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” (Joh 14:16-17)
“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” (Heb 13:5-6)

4. You Have Been Equipped With Power

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” (Act 1:cool
You have the power of God at work in you now through the person of the Holy Spirit. Let this reality down on you. Whether in school, at work, in market or even at home. Wherever you find yourself, always remember you have been empowered to do the very works of Jesus on earth.
Whenever the need arises, stand up in faith and demonstrate the power of God by stretching forth your hands to heal the sick and oppressed. Your words also carry the power of God, use them and recreate your world.

5. You Have Passed From Death To Life. Hell Has No Business With You

“Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.” (1Jn 3:13-14)
The man in Christ has passed from death to life. He has no business with hell anymore. Do not ever be afraid of ending up in hell after you are done on earth here. You have eternal life now. The very life of God. There is no possibility of you ending up in Hell anymore.
“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” (1Jn 5:11-13)
Let your conducts and speech be full of Christ. As much as you can, represent Christ in your behaviours. But this is not so as for you not to end up in Hell. No! It’s because you are a new creature, a heavenly citizen. You have no business looking like those headed for Hell.

6. God Takes Pleasure In Answering Your Prayers

Always remember you can talk to God about anything. Regardless of how big or small it is. He takes pleasure in hearing your prayers. It is His will to always answer you. “Always” I say.
“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.” (1Jn 5:14-15)
You can talk to God about anything. Including the pimple on your nose. He is concerned about whatever it is that bothers you and is always ready to help you take care of it if you let Him. Do not ever forget this.
You can talk to Him about that job, that relationship, that marriage, that business, your challenges etc. With Him you have nothing to be ashamed of. So open up your heart and pour it all out to Him.

7. You Are Never Alone

You might be going through a storm right now. You might be going through the worst moment of life. Business is bad, the salary is not coming, no peace at home and your life feels stuck. You may be facing the greatest financial battle of your life and it doesn’t seem like it will end soon.
Your friends may have abandoned you and no one seems to be asking after your welfare. Life is going the way you never expected and it's all like you are alone. But hey! You are not alone. God is right there with you. And He has promised to help you.
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” (Isa 41:10)
“Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.” (Isa 41:14)
“I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.” (Isa 41:18)
In the midst of trials and much difficulties, never forget His promises. Hold on to them and let them strengthen and guide your actions.
I hope this blesses you.
Glory to God our king!

Please stop misleading Christians oo.
There is every possiblity of the Holyghost leaving a person who has backslided or lives in sin.

And Christians must avoid sin or else will end up in hellfire. These are just a few of the many scriptures buttressing this point:

Galatians 5:19-21,
Ephesians 5:3-6,
Colossians 3:5-6,
Revelations 21:8,27;
1 Corinthians 6:9,
1 John 2:1,
1 John 3:8-10,
Matthew 7:21-23,
Matthew 18:9,
Hebrews 10:26;
2 Timothy 2:19,
1 Thessalonians 5:17;
Epehsians 4:30-31

etc etc etc.

Judas did not make it. He committed suicide. Taking your own life is a sin. Apparently, he didn't know that.

John 17:12 "Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled"

Acts 1:18-20 "18Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. 19And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.
20For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his bishoprick let another take."
