Na wah, wait fess, so if someone seem to have symptoms of Covid 19 in Calabar, they will fly the blood sample to Irrua, Lagos or Osun?

Are we truly prepared for this? Do we know how to handle these samples across these distance without spreading it?

Build at least 1 test centre in each geopolitical zone, Biko

So much for a prepared country.
This even better. In Ebola's time, samples were flown oversees.

The Nigerian customs, immigrations and other people that came in contact with the Italian man,why couldn’t they look for them?what about the Lagos state commissioner of health who made contact with the Italian man? Our leaders are just there to show high personality of their shelves, see world leaders getting quarantined when get in contact which people suspecting of having it and our criminal minded leaders will be here feeling too big.

Testing everyone that comes into the country via the airports is going to be one logistical nightmare.

And then there are the land and sea borders too......

Plus the test kit is very very expensive. An accurate test involves a PCR machine...which costs money, lots of money.
Is this really an excuse to let the virus slip into the country?

Any passenger coming from an infected country should be quarantined

Nigeria has enough money to buy the testing kits if they are serious.

Once you recover from the symptomatic phase, you can self-infect immediately. You do not develop immunity to covid-19.

It stays in the body, with a measurable count for up to 14 days. It is entirely possibly that nucleic acid tests might not detect it until it reaches a certain concentration in the body, allowing it to remain technically dormant while it begins incubating again.

Because you continue to infect yourself(or re-incubate after dormancy), covid-19 has limitless times to kill you.

Every time you become symptomatic, it is more severe.

The mortality rate rises with every symptomatic phase, so even if it's low the first time, it's significantly higher after your lungs have developed scarring from pneumonia, your organs and specifically your liver and heart will also be damaged.

You do not develop immunity to covid-19, and you will go through it over and over until it kills you.
Unless you get a working vaccine, once you're infected, you'll likely go through 2-4 symptomatic phases before dying, depending on your health and the severity of the first two symptomatic phases.

The first vaccines are entirely experimental. If you take the vaccine before you're infected, the vaccine will give you covid-19, so you might want to reconsider unless you're confident it can give you immunity. Taking the vaccine may likely kill you!

You will not develop immunity on your own, don't think by deliberately infecting yourself with Corona, you will develop natural immunity. That's not how this virus works. Once infected the virus screws your immune system. Your immune system has no clue on how to handle it because whoever created this thing made sure it can outsmart and out pace the natural human immune response. Self-isolate now before you get it, or you may not live past this pandemic.

The response so far from serious governments appear draconian because they are dealing with something that was deliberately created specifically to kill humans enmasse.

1.If we quaranmtined all the passengers that came into this country by land, air and sea....we would in essence have to build very large containment facilities that would cost billions of dollars....

2.What we are doing is what the WHO advises for now..and what other countries are doing. Isolate , and then quanrantine the patient and the contacts. Simple.

WHO is part of the cover up.

WHO for years has been advocating for population control and culling.

This pandemic is the best thing to them at WHO.

Besides, only 3rd world shitholes take UN and their fraud agencies seriously.

You quarantine passengers who have been to an "infected country" .

Besides, China built a multi billion dollar hospital in a couple of days, what stops this excuse of an administration to build a million dollar facility to quarantine the passengers from those countries.

Whilst WHO and other countries are expending resources to find a vaccine to stop this virus,I hope your government is doing the same? Cos I believe they will copy what other countries are doing when it suits them.

Abeg, there is no coverup.

If the virus was as bad as you think it is, by now millions of people would be dead.

That's how you people were screaming that Ebola would kill everybody...and when it died down, you guys stopped chanting.

Malaria, tuberculosis, and car accidents kill more people than Ebola, and even this COVID are killing. Why aren't they a plot to cull the world population eh?

Virus with 2% case fatailty is going to destroy humanity? Okay.....

Which at the last count includes most European, American and even Asian countries ...and by the way, is it only at airports you would quarantine them?
Besides, China built a multi billion dollar hospital in a couple of days, what stops this excuse of an administration to build a million dollar facility to quarantine the passengers from those countries.

Because China's GDP dwarfs Nigeria's GDP....which is because Nigeria is a resource dependent country. Not an industrial country.(which is because you Nigerians vote for people who share the money, not people who are interested in actual development)

Plus the hosptial was built for sick people, not for asymptomatic infectees. The facilties I refer to are massive quarantine facilties that would quarantine everyone comming into this country by land , air and sea, not just by air..because we cannot be sure who is lying about their travel history, and who isn't.

Whilst WHO and other countries are expending resources to find a vaccine to stop this virus,I hope your government is doing the same? Cos I believe they will copy what other countries are doing when it suits them.

What our government should be doing...is running an economy based on industrial development, not on oil, or sharing oil money...because we would then eventually earn the size of money that would enable us fund research facilities to develop vaccines.

These people are not serious... There should be test centers in all local govt across the country.

These people don't know what they are dealing with. When the virus first broke out in China before their government acted to contain it, thousands of people fell ill within days hospitals were over flooded pharmacies were out of supplies, people were dropping dead in the street.

I think the FG should include that self-medication especially taking antibiotics does not treat the virus.

But of course, antibiotics won't work against the virus. Antibiotics are meant to attack bacteria and not viruses. Any body using antibiotics to treat a viral infection is just exercising some measure of foolishness. Lol
And yes, generally, Nigerians like self medication. You are right. Self medication will also prove futile.

Antibiotics are used to treat secondary infections as the virus severely affects the immune system.

Patients were thought to have been treated after a cocktail of antibiotics to treat the secondary infections but after a while the virus bounces back with double measure. This is why the Chinese were using retro-viral drugs used in HIV therapy to help suppress the virus load.

Now you know why they dubbed Corona as airborne AIDS.

Bro, the first introduction was aminal to person before going to persons. It's act of brainwashing in making it as an animal disease/virus transmitted to person before spreading. To clear you, it was invented and cure underway. It's a business as usual.

My statement was in response to the specific issue of COVID-19 which is why I structured my sentence to address the specific issue.

Besides, it's fairly common knowledge that antibiotics do not treat illnesses caused by viruses, but some persons have been self-medicating with antibiotics to treat/prevent the COVID-19 infection.

NPC is an acronym for Non-Playable Character in a video game.

You run over them in GTA. Think of them as extras in a movie.

Most people are NPCs.

The fact that they still believe and trust the official narrative coming from their govts and the mouthpiece propaganda outlets make you to question the criteria for defining intelligence in today's world.
