This is from a reliable source who craved anonymity due to sensitivity of the matter.This line of thought becomes imperative according to my source because of the determination of the party to win the next general elections.So he said having A Moderate Muslim from the South West with a conservative muslim from the core North in a joint ticket would have achieved three things:Allowing political power to returne to the south irrespective of where its returning to;a moderate southern muslim and a conservative northern muslim candidates just like Abiola/Kinkigbe time,would neutralize any effect of a muslim north and a christian south candidates from the Pdp. So therefore,the likes of Tinubu,Fashola,Ibikunle Amusu,Ajimobi and the current speaker Femi Gbajabiamila readily come to mind,anyone of these wont be a bad pair to the likes of El-rufai,Zulu,Shakarau,Shema,Ganduje and the current senate president Ahmed Lawal. previous elections,would agree with me that on no account irrespective of who the APC may field as its flag bearer and as attested to in both the 2015 and 2019 presidential elections,the party wont be able to win in the following areas:the southern Kaduna,Plateau,Benue and Taraba states in the North,while in the South,except the SW,the party wont be able to win any of the states that make up the SS and the SE due to the previous voting pattern and 2023 wont be an exception. |

However,for those that errorneously believe that the electorates in the South West,do not vote in block would be shock!and disappointed in 2023.For your information,these are cases whereby the Yorubas voted in block irrespective of the religion affiliation of the candidate:Awolowo '79,Abiola '93,Falae '99 and Obasanjo second term in 2003 election. 4 Likes |

The APC political establishment believes that in the 2023 presidential election,instead of fielding a Southern christian and a northern muslim candidature,that would go up against a northern muslim and a southern christian flag bearer from the PDP,it would rather prefare its presidential flag bearer to be retained by the north!because of the possibility of the party winning the presidential election with a southern christian candidate would be very slim compare to a core northern candidate. |

For the Igbos,their quest to rule this country would be a mirage for a long time to come and they are in a very serious dilema!Their party,the Pdp cant trust them with its presidential ticket because of their lack of acceptance nationally exept the party is very sure that the APC would also field an Igbo candidate. As for the governing party,the APC,it would never field an Igbo candidate even as the party's presidential running mate,not to mention the ticket of its presidential flag bearer because of the hatred the IGBOS!as a people have for it(the party). This hatred made the IGBOS to wrongly tag the APC a muslim party right from the onset without any justification whatsoever to do so and this was manifested with the recent attacked on the only APC governor from that region,simply because he belongs to the APC. 4 Likes |
