From observations and reports, all the people that have tested positive for COVID-19 have remained stable with some not showing symptoms of the virus! This is contrary to what currently obtains in the U.S, Europe and other countries of the world and goes to somewhat proves right the people that said the virus cannot wreck havoc in Nigeria due to our weather.
There’s no doubt the virus is highly contagious owing to the ever increasing number of confirmed cases in the country but my sincere opinion is that in the next 3 weeks if Nigeria records no fatality (save for the PPMC man), for the sake of our economy this lockdown should be relaxed! The aftermath of this COVID may not be palatable! We should remember that crude oil is at its lowest(in 16 years) and no country is actually buying now! We need to brace up for the recession that will hit the world after COVID.
Flu kills whites “like water” but it rarely does here! We do not need to follow their strategies for curtailment in totality , ours should reflect our realities! There’s too much of fear and panic in the air! Let’s spread some hope!
