Prejudice and Intolerance - if you've ever been to the american south you'd know what i'm talking about. discrimination, past segregation laws etc same with nazi germanys horrendous prejudice against the jews or whites against black in apartheid south africa. in religion, you see muslim prejudice against christians, christian prejudice against atheist, protestant prejudice against catholics, shittes against sunnis etc all which have led to unecessary nasty outcomes we'll be talking more about as we move on. you can even see this in our own naija and even on here in these forums

Genocide and Barbarity - you think genocide you think nazi germany and their despicable treatment of the jews during the course of WWII, but religion has had it's fair share of genocidal rampages and the barbarity that comes with it. from the bible itself where I AM and his chosen people unleash genocidal rampages on people of different belief systems, killing both women children and even animals and keeping the virgin for their Hot asses to the crusades, inquisitions etc

Undeserved Superiority Complex - the racist white neo-nazi skin head thinks his skin color automatically makes him somehow superior to those of darker shades even though he doesn't even possess a high school diploma and your average christian arogantly thinks his beliefs is superior and anything on the contrary is liable to an eternity in I AMs fiery torture chamber by their adherents while the holier than thou, and most of the time hypocritical, christian freak strongly believes him and his cult members will be spending eternal bliss in some gold paved roads and mansion filled imaginary heaven

Apartheid - in the case of racism what first comes to mind is the infamous days of apartheid south africa. in the middle east of today we have people who came and kicked others out of their own land just because they believe their god said so

Slavery - the slave trade was ofcourse justified by bible passages that openly condorned the despicable and inhuman act of slavery, so ofcourse they both have alot in common in this regard

Terrorism - Al-Qaeda, Islamic fundametalists! nuff said

Other similarities include hate crimes, from the neo-nazis downsouth and in mostly eastern europe to the abortion clinic bombers, to sensitive pricks like those who go on murderous carnage just because of a cartoon to the average racist who changes his facial expression when he sees you with a white chic he aint even related to, to despicable books like mein kampf, the bible, the koran etc, to murderous and/or charismatic leaders like hitler or todays con-artist preachers in naija masquerading as MOGs, to ofcourse, deluded followers on both sides

SO NOW TELL ME: WHY ON EARTH WILL ONE BE AGAINST RACISM AND NOT BE AGAINST THE NUISCANCE THAT IS RELIGION?

Religions were supposed to help mankind overcome prejudice and discrimination in order for it to move forward in it's evolution, but instead they sink us deeper into them. How do you expect Nigeria to move forward when the masses believe things like '' Only God can save us'' Its in God's handsl'' or ''Leave everything to God'' etc. As long as they continue to believe that Mister Nobody is going to come down from the sky and solve their problems for them Nigeria will never progress.

Racism is about disrimination on the basis of race while religion is based on ones beliefs. They are completely different.
God who created heaven and earth has the right to make rule for the inhabitants. If a landlord is empowered by law to decide his terms of letting out his property to a tenant so much more God.
He reserve the RIGHT to decide who lives in what area and He is fair enough to give the small area he gave the children of Abraham His friend and allowing others to occupy huge ares like Nigeria, america, Asia etc even when our fore fathers do not believe in him- idol worshippers. He is fair to purnish the Jews for following other gods by allowing those calamities fall on them right from the Bible days just because they saw His works among them; while he was long suffering to the non-jews who regular do worse things than the Jews.
He has also reserve a 'day'in which He will judge the whole world in righteousness by that man whom he had ordained- Jesus Christ and had given assurance of this to us by raising him (Jesus) from death. God reserve the right to judge too and our unbelief cannot strip Him of that right and power.
Rather than allowing Satan to paint God in a bad light to you, better look at it in a simple way. If God is God and the creator, He deserve our honour, worship and obedience to His words.
If you decide to drive out a your tenant that broke the terms of tenancy out of ur property, is that racism or religious bigotry? So if God devcide to wipe every human from the surface of the earth for breaking the terms of our living, will he be unfair? NO.
So it's either we obey Him or face the consequences of our disobedience.

and yea, you're right, discriminatory atrocities committed under racism were committed on the basis of difference in skin color and those of religion were on the basis of differring belief systems. the similarities are the atrocious acts itself committed under these two cancers to society, and in this, religion far surpasses racism in body counts
