Even the 125 naira. petrol station in awka still sell for 145 naira. typical igbo man.

Actually, one popular peteol station in a town near Osogbo, Osun still sells at 145 naira. I wonder what's their excuse.

French Professor Didier Raoult, who is one of the world’s top 5 scientists on communicable diseases, argued that the approach of mass quarantine is both inefficient and outdated and that large-scale testing and treatment of suspected cases achieves far better results.

Lockdown means nothing without testing, isolating and treating infected ones.

I'm a realist. I try to look at what is practicably possible before criticizing the government. I have zero interest or benefit in defending any government...most especially this one.
See, they tell us no money, but they live large, no money but their kids fly private Jets, both presidential. They attend schools abroad, yet no money. Cost of oil reduces by 70% but we get less than 10% reduction in fuel price and we accept that, Infact we should be grateful to bbqmans "darling" daddy for being generous to us undeserving Nigerians.
Yet they keep buying lambos, Ferrari, rolls, Jets, yet we should understand that there is no money.

The reality is that "there's no money". Yes, there are huge potentials for the country to make a lot of money, but the country has been do badly governed for far too long that it is on life support.

Now let's have a bit of perspective. Our 2019 budget was slightly above $20b (for a population of 200m). South Africa, on the other hand, had a budget of over $100b (for a population of less than 50m). Obviously, you can see how abysmal the budget per capita for Nigeria is. I have deliberately refused to make any comparisons with other advanced western countries...lol.

The reason why it looks like Nigeria has money is the fact that a very miniscule population of the society (public officials) arrogate most of the already little national revenue to themselves...thereby leaving the rest of the society to live in inhuman conditions. So, when we see their opulence, we erroneously think that the country is rich.

My point is that, even without corruption, our current revenue is too small to make any meaningful development. Trust me, the country has been so underdeveloped over the years that $500b will only scratch the surface of trying to make us look like a sane society. Education, health care, power, transport, everything is in comatose state.

Petrol should be sold at N90, government should do everything to ensure Nigerians have money to spend, hence making fuel price lower is one of the ways.

Petrol should be selling for under N100. If not for NNPC greed and fraud, this is the time to truly deregulate petroleum products.

When dummy that never capable of managing presidential position appoint himself petroleum minister, what do you expect. They are claiming 2.2million barrel a day at 57dollar per barrel after changes it to naira they peg revenue from oil at 2.67 trillion and the house of assembly joyfully accept it. If we don't kill corruption, it will kill us very soon.

I bought fuel yesterday at #145 per litre. Our government is just an audio government. You have not implemented the first noise you made and you are already saying another. In Aba, no filling station sells at the normal price.

This our abrakadaba subsidy is something else.

Price of crude comes down by over 50% but we are only able to see a marginal decrease of arou d 10% in petroleum product prices. How on earth is that possible?

That's magical arithmetics only possible in Nigeria.
Salaries of those producing it did not drop. All the other ingredients may not also have dropped. Salaries of the shippers remained constant. So it's not supposed to be a direct proportion.

Assuming the government is serious this it the perfect opportunity for the government to remove subsidy completely.... But because the government still want to benefit from the current reality they won't do that!!!
The government should forget abt benefitting now and allow Nigerians to buy fuel according to the current reality which should be around 70-80 naira per little...
