First of all, to make yam porriage, you need yam. I have already pilled the yam to save time. After pilling the back of the yam. I washed it and cut it into smaller bit. Stay tune for more tips are coming

Before I continue, let me dish some of the ingredients here. From the image below.
A- Grounded pepper
B- Palm Oil
C- Salt for seasoning
D- Maggi know and Crayfish Crevette

To make it more spicy, I will be adding onions and saint leaf. I have already sliced it to save time. Also while at it. Let me go wash my stock fish and Crayfish. I will be right back. Stay tuned grin. Remember I have more tips for you.

After removing the dirt from the Crayfish and stock fish, I washed it with clean water and then I proceed to pour all the spicy and protein into the pilled yam.

A- Crayfish with dirt
B- Crayfish after removing the dirt
C- Stock fish
D - Freshly grounded pepper and tomato

Here is the mixture after adding salt, Maggi, grounded pepper, onions and saint leaf, raw pepper, Crayfish, stock fish... I added half litre bowl of water before turning up the heat.

Nepa never disappoints embarassed They took off the power. Well I have turn on the gas cooker. Been cooking for over 20min now. Stay tune for the final lap

You can ground it with turning stick although, it's optional. Final ingredients is to add palm oil and let it stay for another 10-15 min.

ALL THESE UP AND DOWN JUST FOR COMMON PORRIDGE YAM?

SIMPLY THROW YAM INTO BOILING WATER, AND APPLY SALT AND PALM OIL. E NEVER DONE? undecided

The same one used to make those large owambe pots. It's not all Smith's that make them though. I've seen it only in Jos

Yes. I think it is called adugan, though I’m not totally sure.
They hardly make smaller ones for domestic use.

Nice mouth watering ingredients for a yam porridge.

If you want your porridge to have that inviting look and unique taste, don't add the fresh pepper and oil from the beginning.
Add them when your yam is soft and done. Stir and allow to simmer for a few seconds. Then bring it down. It's going to look and taste great.
