In the wake of the ravaging effect of the global pandemic Covid-19 in the world which has led to the implementation of strict and firm policies which are quite needful to stay afloat the situation by ensuring that the virus is prevented as well as curtailed from spreading further.

In the light of this, the Governor of Ondo State Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN had ordered the closure of all entery points into Ondo state after due consultations to prevent the spread of Covid19.

The closed border posts are Boundary Bridge Onitea; Ofosu Military Check Point, Military Post After Owena; Bankemo Junction; Ipetu-Ijesa Road; Military Post After Owena; Ibuji Village Before Igbara Odo; Police Check Point/Ekiti State Boundary; Imeri/Ayegunle Igara Road; Military Check Point before Sobe along the express way; Military Check Point Ajo Oke Agbe/Oyin by Oyin Irun Akoko ; Iboropa Ise/Ugbe Junction ; Isua Junction and Supare-Emure Ekiti Road.

While we continually work and hope that the world finds a cure to this Virus, it is quite needful that we put up measures which are important for our general safety and wellbeing.

Hard times they say requires hard measures, the decision of the state government to close these aforementioned entry points into the state is not to cause hardship or any form of discomfort to the people of Ondo State but to help keep the state free from further spread of the virus.

It will be noted that the state has only a recorded case of the virus while there has been various confirmed cases of the virus in our neighboring states; it is expedient as a result of this for the state government to act in the interest of the people.

under the leadership of Alhaji Dojumo, the SSA to the Governor on security, has deployed the state security agencies the police, Civil defence and army personnel to ensure enforcement while medical post are also attached to these border points.
