Better than the UK yet Buhari has been going for check up in London.
Some of you pseudo-patriots don't realise that the Nigerian healthcare system is a joke.

FYI, he went to Cuba not UK.

don't believe everything you here in news, we have a lower rate of infection than UK.

If it's real Corona virus and not the malaria they treating in Naija, they better leave them there.

UK health system is top notch. If they take that flight, then they should be ready to face what comes after.

Nigerian doctors will only prescribe the usual, Antibiotics, pain reliever and blood tonic.

That's the cure for all ailments in Nigeria. Even HIV/AIDS.

-Until you find yourself stranded or in knots abroad, you will not understand that Nigeria is a scam. Unfortunately for this chaps, their maintenance funds must have finished or seriously depleted yet Nigeria wants them to pay for their flights back home. When we say, Nigeria doesn’t belong to all- this is it!

The British High Commission is doing the same evacuation of their citizens from Nigeria and the citizens are expected to pay.

In fact, the flight is even for the vulnerable citizens.

Na everything Nigerians dey wail over.

Am not here to drag words with you but what I want you to know is that it's better for them to remain there in the UK with a good health care system rather than bringing them back to Nigeria endangering others.

I hope you knew what happened to Italy and USA, trying to evacuate it citizens out of China, now they are the biggest hit in the world. So it's beta we manage the case we have at hand. Peace

From your comments it is very clear that you are ignorant of what is happening in USA and Europe right now concerning this pandemic. These countries are totally overwhelmed by covid 19 in spite of their vaunted advanced health care systems.

As a result, they are not giving blacks and foreigners any reasonable attention whatsoever when they have the infection. That is why it is expedient for any foreigner to leave these countries for now.

It will teach misguided youths in Nigeria a thing or two about patriotism and respect for ones country. From your comment I can clearly decipher that you are one of those calling Nigeria a zoo. It is possible that some of those wanting to return to Nigeria had at one time or another referred to Nigeria as a zoo but now they know better.

The truth is, their is no place like home and talking politically, all Nigerians are responsible for the currently state of the country. The country will definitely attain her potentials when we want her to.

leave emotions out of it, UK has a higher rate of infections than us for a start, inspite of their so called sophisticated medical system.

despite their water tight lockdown infection rates are significantly higher than Nigeria.

our bitter kola is working, if you re objective you would agree.

It was because the UK and Italy were the second places that the pandemic broke out immediately after China you knob! Think Fanny! Think!

What do you mean by the statement in bold? Buhari spent nearly 6 months of his first tenure receiving medical treatment in the UK. When did Cuba come into the question?

So the fact that you currently have a lower infection rate than the UK means that Nigeria has a better healthcare system? Are you for real? Do you know that up till 2 months ago, China had the highest number of COVID-19 cases while the US had just a few. Today, China is 7th and the US has over half a million cases.
UK currently does about 20k tests per day and was hoping to step it up to 100k per day by month end, though it won't be possible again. How many tests has Nigeria done altogether?

Which facts are you asking me to check? Saying the truth about Nigeria, is that what you call denigrating? Even the best teaching hospital in Nigeria cannot measure up to any general hospital in the UK, yet you don't realise Nigerian health care system is a joke?

You just wrote NONSENSE

I am sure you wouldn't have a problem with them coming home if you have siblings among them

Because the pandemic hasn't reached epidemic level in Nigeria, the government should bring them home and isolate them.

While they are in isolation, they should be given proper treatment. After all, this government keeps telling us that they are treating and discharging Nigeria's Covid-19 patients, meaning they are doing a great job with the virus.

If Nigerians want to come home, they should be brought home. Yes, that's actually one of the ways you win respect among other countries. It shows you have regards for your citizens.
no, never, the cases we have here are from returnees, are u suggesting we should bring in more? Not advisable. The case in kwara was brought by a returnee, now his wife is infected. Only God knows how many more

Even the US and UK that have solid economies are making their citizens pay for their flights back home.
Where do you expect broke ass Nigeria to get that kind of money.

No matter the situation, you can't deny your citizens from entry their countries. What the govt will do as soon as they return , is to have a test for them and put them in isolation.

The British High Commission is doing the same evacuation of their citizens from Nigeria and the citizens are expected to pay.

In fact, the flight is even for the vulnerable citizens.

Na everything Nigerians dey wail over.

-As at last week, the UK had over 300,000 of their citizens scattered all over many continents, excluding people already evacuated and below is what their government said;

A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "The government has committed up to £75m to help thousands of British people return home.

"In order to deliver value for money and put on as many flights as possible, anyone returning on a government charter flight will need to contribute towards their ticket based on the length of the journey.

"The amount charged will reflect only a proportion of the overall cost of the charter flight, which is why we have set aside the £75m fund."

People who are unable to afford travel costs and are struggling to get funds might be able to apply for an emergency loan from the government.

-Mind you there are all sorts of ways those UK citizens can get some, if not all their money back from the government, e.g Universal credits.

-And they are not charging/scamming their citizens for Covid-19 Test abroad, unlike Nigeria, instead they are focusing on taking them back home safely.

-When you think of how much an average Nigerian political office holder takes home every month, with respect to their counterparts in the UK, it’s a disgrace Nigeria Government seeks to make profits on the back of those Nigerians predicament.

Oga even America ask their citizens to pay for their tickets before leaving Nigeria

-You no say all US citizens on tax records got some relief money from their Govt?

-And below is information from UK side:

A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "The government has committed up to £75m to help thousands of British people return home.

"In order to deliver value for money and put on as many flights as possible, anyone returning on a government charter flight will need to contribute towards their ticket based on the length of the journey.

People who are unable to afford travel costs and are struggling to get funds might be able to apply for an emergency loan from the government.

-Mind you, the UK travellers can still get any money paid toward that flight from same government through other means.
