A hospital in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Vedic Lifecare, has said that two of its staff tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The hospital management in a statement on Monday, said its staff contracted the disease after treating a patient who later tested positive for COVID-19.

The management said its facility has been closed for decontamination while the infected staff have been taken to an isolation centre managed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

“Dear customers and visitors. Approximately 10 days ago, we had an in-patient who later tested positive for COVID 19 after discharge. As per protocols set by NCDC we have tested our staff who have come in contact with the COVID positive patient and unfortunately, we have had 2 staff members who tested positive yesterday,” it said.

“The patient and our staff are now being managed by the NCDC at their isolation center. Till this moment they do not show any symptoms. As per the government COVlD-19 management protocol the facility is currently closed off for decontamination of the building and the fumigation activities.”

The statement by the hospital read: “Approximately 10 days ago, we had an in-patient who later tested positive for COVID 19 after discharge. As per protocols set by NCDC we have tested our staff who have come in contact with the covid positive patient and unfortunately, we have had 2 staff members who tested positive yesterday.

“The patient and our staff are now being managed by the NCDC at their isolation center. Till this moment they do not show any symptoms.”

The management said other staff members were being tested and that the hospital could be reopened in days.

“As per the Government COVID-19 management protocol, the facility is currently closed off for decontamination of the building and the fumigation activities. This may take up to 3 — 4 days.

“We are currently testing the remaining staff members of the hospital and we will continue to update everyone once the testing concludes and the hospital can reopen. PPEs were made mandatory for staff members for the past month.”

SOME people don't believe that Coronavirus exist. Some others say COVID19 is a political affair in Nigeria aimed at causing hardship for the poor.

My heart goes out to all persons in the frontline fighting to prevent the spread of the virus.

To the unbelievers, CORONAVIRUS IS REAL.

If PPE have been compulsory for about a month then how did the staff still contact the virus?

Coronavirus has shown us that we don't need society running at max capacity all the time.

We work too much.

We buy too much useless crap.

We spend too much time on expensive and extravagant experiences that ultimately mean nothing.

Imagine a world where you can wake up and not have a million things to do everyday.

It's possible and it's better for everyone.

Copied.

Ghen ghen. The LASG should make the tests available to all hospitals so that when patients come for routine check up or admission they can first be checked for covid-19.... that way we will avoid all these incessant deaths in private hospitals and some general hospitals where medics are also exposed.

Coronavirus is real, but with hot water every morning and every evening the virus will be difficult to establish itself in your pharynx.

Always gaggle hot water and then drink it. For me I add garlic, ginger, and tumeric in the boiling water. Try to be doing this at least once in two days, and especially when you go out and meet people, on reaching your house, this should be the first thing to do.

This video might help.

Grace!
