Dear Colleagues!
1. It is Paramount at this juncture to note that the total lockdown of the nation has not solved or try to contribute to any optimal solution to COVID19.
2. The disease has increased by almost 100% even while we are on lockdown.
3. This means that even if we continue being on lockdown, the disease will keep plummeting, while our economy is going down and at a time, people may start dying of hunger than of the disease.
4. Police officers obeying themselves than the authorities, have taken the disadvantages of the lockdown to extort from those going contrary to the lockdown rules instead of redirecting them, and also kill innocent citizens of our dear country.
5. Some Army men giving orders to themselves by themselves in their personal shallow coordinations, have also dealt with and killed many innocent citizens who broke the lockdown rules to fend for their poor families, instead of dying indoors while on lockdown.
6. Electricity distribution companies also in their way of giving kwashiorkored services, have worsened the case of the citizens by not distributing light as they should, but yet walk around to distribute bills.
7. Petty thieves have unleashed mayhem on so many innocent Nigerians. Some dreaded thieves walk house to house while some even give visitation letters to Nigerian homes without fear.
8. This has caused a review of the lockdown by myself and some other concerned Nigerians. After this important review, we have concluded that a Letter be written and given to the Federal government concerning the lock down. The content of the letter shall be:
a. All Nigerians have to be allowed to go back to their normal lives, because we may have seen the worst of it as our relatives who normally carter for their family members now beg even for #1000 or less to feed.
b. Protection of Nigerians against COVID19 should be done by Nigerians themselves as the best from the government can't be enough to curtail its spread and feed the entire nation in an extended lockdown. If the lives of Nigerians are placed in their hands, you will see that people will be more careful than now as everybody has seen the reality of the virus in recent deaths of close family members.
c. Government should enforce 'no mask,no outing rule'. This will help all Nigerians to use face masks till we finally win the COVID19 war.
d. All businesses and MDAs should be made to place wash hand basins and sanitizers in their business domains and offices.
e. All mosques and churches should double the number of their times of prayers or services to reduce the number of participants of a particular service. And sanitizers have to be placed on the mosque and church doors.
d. Government should rollout financial palliatives to all states and this has to be done with utmost accountability.
e. Students should go back to schools. But sanitary measures have to be maintained.
f. Farmers should be equipped more than enough by government as they will help to combat the aftermath of the corona war.
g. Passengers all over the nation should maintain social distance of normal 3 persons per seat while drivers apply sanitizers to all palms of anyone being carried.
9. The above points when taken into consideration shall reduce if not drive away COVID19 and hunger at the same time if the government can abide by the suggestions therein.
10. Meanwhile, stay home until these suggestions are approved.
Thanks and remain blessed. Otuu Obinna Ogbonnia (Obynoses).
