Governor Sani Bello of Niger State today has ordered the compulsory wearing of face-masks in Niger State.

This was made known by his Senior Special Assistant on Media.

FLASH: Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has announced that wearing face masks is now compulsory for all citizens in the state, as the state continues to curb the spread of the pandemic. The COVID-19 Taskforce has been mandated to make sure there is strict compliance.

Is a better solution than lockdown

Every state in Nigeria needs this. Inclusive of gloves with proper sensitisation on how not to touch your face, nose and eyes until u have washed your hands with soap.

Nigerians won't abide with lockdown totally when they are hungry. In Lagos, people still open their shops.
It is a pity we have a careless Govt in place. They know how to spend their money on themselves alone. If it about funding the wardrobes of the senators and Nat. Assembly members, N800B won't be an issue, but if it about helping us with stipends for the first time in many generations passed and now, it would require them study BVN. Until now, they are still studying bvns.

But our youths will still vote for them once they are given their normal 2k!

What provisions have they made for the masses to be able to buy the face mask. Our government officials are a total disgrace to mankind. All they do is a make laws without asking people about how they feed and feel.

I am not saying that wearing of face mask isn't good but they should learn to provide for the citizens of the state.
