The fact is that very few Nigerians can pay for 24/7 electricity, and I can calculatively guess you're a middle class man yet you are complaining, just imagine if the poor are given 24/7 supply, the power firms (generation, transmission and distribution) will run at huge loss.

The problem with Nigeria and power is that we don't realize that power is not cheap. And we haven't realized that power has been privatized. So, the money to make it better comes from our pocket.

We need money to raise our power generation and fix our neglected transmission system. And I doubt our DISCOS have a magic money tree.

The House of Representatives had passed a bill that no DISCO should send Estimated billing to Nigerians,now,Ikdc is doing that with impunity,yet you are rejoicing!.Is that not flagrant disregard for our Laws!.Do you even blame them for such act,when we have the man up here talking with two sides of mouth since he doesn't know his right.The IKDC has failed in all ramifications to give light as when due,due to failure to replace dilapidated equipments-Transformers,Sub-Stations etc,Nigeria is a land of suffering and smiling .

Interesting,,, and you think generation is the problem. When DISCOS decides to take just a fraction of what is being pushed to them. Thereby wasting much generated power..... All because of the fraud they do with the so called estimated billing system.
Let them meter every home if truly they are sincere,,,, everyone will be happy and stuff like this beating won't happen again
