IgbereTV reports that Edo University Iyamho, Edo State has commenced the second semester for its 2019/2020 academic session online as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown in the country.

According to a statement on Sunday, from the registrar of the institution, Isoken Ogboro, the semester would go through the institution’s Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) and Academic Information Systems (AIS).

The statement read, “Students courses registration would commence on Monday April 27, through the AIS/LMS platform while the 2nd semester academic lectures would also start on Monday May 4."

The register revealed that the AIS system was recently introduced to allow both the management and parents monitor, evaluate, and access their wards’ academic activities.

So commendable, but ordinary data subscription at this time is a problem. How about students using 'tonasobe' what is their access point?
Must we be a copycat? Poverty level on its on makes many drops out of school. Makes me want to ask, do we really believe Nigerians are poor?

This means no computer/internet access, no learning.
Well at this time, students who can't afford it should please refer back to their textbooks, i believe you have the syllabus. Please read wide, life is not bias, not fair either. it's just where we found ourselves.

Instead of ASUU to design how ideas like this can come to life... Na lie, it's how they'll do face-off with FG on payment and registration on IPPIS they'll be fighting.

Nigeria is a third world country that's struggling with mediocrity. We don't have the required level of science and technology to support full online education.
