The pathetic state of COVID19 isolation centre in Kogi destroyed by rain this morning. The Isolation center built by the Kogi State government, in preparation for possible out break of COVID-19 in the state has been destroyed by rain. The center located directly behind Federal Medical Centre Mortuary was blown by the wind on Tuesday 28th of April 2020. A social media user, @Georgiitto who shared the picture wrote; Quote “Ladies and Gentlemen, the isolation center recently built at FMC lokoja before and after rain.”

The use of the lockdown in the Western Countries was to ease the load on the existing hospitals and to build more hospitals. China built a hospital in 8 days. The UK built 3 hospitals with a 4000 bed capacity in 2-4 weeks. The Nigerian Government called for a 4 week lockdown with no hospitals built, no mass-testing and no isolation centers. They used the lockdown to beg for loans and to collect donations from people, they have shared the monies and now have lifted the lockdown because they cannot afford to feed and protect 200 million citizens. The state governor is a monumental failure for not doing the right thing and putting the lives of Kogites in danger. This isolation centre won't bother him a bit because he once claimed to have developed an Application that could easily detect if anyone is infected with the virus. 1 Like |

As it is right now, Kogi State is the only state in Nigeria with "no confirmed case of Covid-19". Isn't God wonderful? Zero test centres, zero isolation center, but there's a wonder app sha.
