The new Divisional Police Officer deployed to Iwo Police Divisional Headquarters paid a courtesy visit to the palace of Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi Telu 1. On arrival at the palace, the DPO greeted the monarch with a salutation. While the policeman saluted Oba Akanbi, the monarch replied him with a handshake . The action of the DPO has caused division online with some saying the police officer was wrong for saluting a civilian while others are saying the traditional office is a revered one hence anything is allowed.… Recall that the monarch has been involved in several fights with religious and traditional leaders. He was recently suspended by the Osun State Council of Traditional Rulers for allegedly assaulting Agboowu of Ogbaagba, Dhikrulahi Akinropo, over a land dispute in Iwo land. Oluwo is a Yahoo King. He admitted on video that he did credit card scams. Even with that, he was not able to amass any form of wealth. What did he do with the money? Cocaine is an expensive habit and weed is another expense. The ex olori, Chanel Chin, let it be known, all items were donated to the palace. Knowing that drug addicts can sell anything if they are broke, I wonder what has disappeared from the palace. How many big men are giving him money, not knowing he is snorting and smoking away their donations? I suspect he is trying to show the ex Olori that he is under the protection of the law and that she cannot do anything to him. However it was very inappropriate for a DPO to greet him in such a manner. It reeks of corruption and points to intimidation for Oluwo's enemies. It also implies the police are in support of traditional ruler engaging in crime. Chanel Chin should be careful, because there is nothing a desperate man like Oluwo cannot do. If she tries to take her son to see him, he may use the police to arrest her. He may even try to harm her little boy, since he has openly stated the child is not his. As for any incoming Olori, she has been warned. There is no money. Oluwo is a woman and old person beater. He is a drug addict. He is paranoid (likely due to the drugs). In addition, he has several other baby mamas and children. Woe to any woman who steps into that palace. Her life is at risk. |
