Caretaker committee of Nigerian Union of Journalist, NUJ, Enugu Council on Tuesday lauded the palliatives measure of Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi in sustaining the citizens and journalists during this COVID-19 lockdown.

In a statement by the Caretaker Chairman, Comrade Chinedu Adonu, commended Ugwuanyi's leadership quality, describing him as most media friendly in the country.

He reinstated journalists commitment in ensuring that the good governance Ugwuanyi engendered in the state is not sabotaged.

"The Caretaker Committee of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Enugu State Council wishes to thank our amiable Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, for the assorted palliatives delivered to journalists in the state.

"We are pleased with your leadership qualities which has distinguished you as the most media friendly governor in the country.

"We hereby reassure you of the support of the entire journalists in the state. We shall continue to play our role in ensuring that the good governance you have engendered in the state is not sabotaged", the statement reads.
