Sen. Kalu: The World Looking Up To Nigeria To Obey Supreme Court's Ruling — Aide by AseV(m): 7:29pm On May 21, 2020 |
Hon. Maduka Okoro, the media assistant to the senator representing Abia North senatorial district, Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu has stated that efforts are on within his legal team to ensure that the federal lawmaker regains his freedom soon in obedience to the Supreme Court judgment. In a chat with ABN TV on Thursday, Mr Okoro expressed regret that Sen. Kalu is still in the facility of the Nigeria Correctional Service despite an order to release, expressing confidence in the country's judiciary. He said that other countries are looking up to Nigeria as the largest black nation to obey the Supreme Court ruling. While stating that they are following the paper procedures preparatory to the release of Sen. Kalu, he expressed the willingness of his legal team to reclaim the innocence of his principal at the High Court. The case has been fixed for June 2.
