The Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu, has asked professional groups and faith-based organisations, including churches and mosques, to submit guidelines for reopening to the NCDC to review and advise.

He spoke during a press conference of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 on Thursday.

“This is what we’ve been advising every society, organisation, community, be it faith-based, cultural-based, professionally based, to come up with guidelines for themselves. We are happy to advise and engage, but this needs to be led and owned by the leaders of those organisations,” he said.

The NCDC DG added that every stakeholder in society needed to take responsibility for the part it owned and managed.
He said the centre had received a draft of guidelines by the Public Transport Owners of Nigeria Association to reopen interstate transportation while preventing the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

He urged other organisations and communities to come up with similar guidelines to expedite the process of safely reopening the economy.
Ihekweazu said, “I was happy yesterday to receive a new set of draft guidelines by the Public Transport Owners of Nigeria Association. Those are people that manage the long-distance buses that travel across the country, what we call ‘luxury’ buses.

“They had drafted their guidelines for reopening safely and sent it to us for review and to advise them on the measures they are now recommending on how to manage their loading centres, buses and engagements with their customers at the point when we may allow them to reopen."

Don't be surprised that the index case will start reducing when they finally open the economy.

It's well we shall all overcome.

Young man keep shut! Don't say what u don't know!

Tanzania Never went on lockdown even for one day

Infact John Magufuli personally said he cannot Lockdown places of Worship as they are the Solution..

As of yesterday almost everyone who tasted positive for Covid-19 in Tanzania are mysteriously healed!

Magufuli daughter was infected but has been Healed using ginger and garlic

They have just about 50 cases now!

Today, president Magufuli has declared universities and high school open!

Today Foreigners have been told to fly in for tourism

I go to Tanzania very well! Infact I am married to a Tanzanian!

Kenyans who were criticizing him for not locking down and now begging to come into Tanzania as they , despite their lockdown are having deaths rising!

So don't talk what you don't know!

Mr. John Magufuli is a Gift to Africa and Tanzania.

He has Shown the World that one with GOD is Majority

I don't understand why pastors and imams are hell bent on religious activities returning, as if we cannot talk to God quietly without them... They are making it sound like it is all about the money

even though the measures are strict at least we'll adhere to it cos it's far better than caging us indoors like caged birds.
