IN obedience with the directives of Presidential Task Force, PTF, on COVID-19, President Muhammadu Buhari and members of his family on Sunday observed the Eid-el-Fitr prayer at the presidential quarters, Abuja.

Eid prayers are the special prayers offered to commemorate two Islamic festivals traditionally in an open space allocated or field available for prayer.

But the question disturbing is Why was President Buhari given a chair to sit during Eid prayers today?

Religion is for the poor

It is allowed in Islam to sit on a chair in mosque if your health can not withstand long sitting or standing .
There are provisions for aged worshipers and those with health challenges in mosques. At 76 years of age , President Buhari, falls to the category of aged worshiper. The President observed the solat perfected and wasn't given any preferential treatment because anybody can be provided with chair . Every Muslim is equal in the sight of Almighty Allah. The most preferred Muslims to Allah are the pious Muslims
