Huawei is a very good phone. I have been using Huawei products since 2017 after Samsung and iPhone. Huawei is better than those phones from my personal experience.

I do not find joy writing negatively about people's reputation, and infact this is my very first time of doing so because of my bitter experience with Huawei.
I bought a Huawei Y9 late last year at slot ph for about 80k plus and barely after 6-7 months of use, it suddenly went off and refused to come up again (I guess it crashed). I took it back to slot and after confirming I have not tampered with d phone or mis used it or something, I was told the phone was no longer on warranty (can u imagine?). I was mad but I had no option but to asked them to check if they can fix it. After spending days with the engineering department, they told me I had to buy another panel, which was almost like buying a new phone. Kaiiii...e pain me die!!! My close to 100k just go like that.
So I was adviced to take it to Huawei customer service which I did and on getting to their office, u can imagine my surprise...there were several similar brand new Y9 phones which mine was added to the bundle also with similar problem.

Am very much aware I might just be unfortunate as I am definitely not the only person using same brand of phone, but mehn, reason with me na, it's painful Biko. So tell me why I go ever reason buy Huawei product again.

There are No Google Play Services on this device. No Play Store, No Gmail, Assistant..etc. It's good for the Chinese market but for those heavily dependent on the GMS, I would steer clear of Huawei devices until they solve their issues and bring back GMS.

Modified - The Y7p can sideload GMS. Their high-end series like the Mate 30 series and P40 Series don't have Play Services. You're good to go as long as you're on the budget end of Huawei and Honor smartphones...I guess.

I'm using Y9S and I have all of those you mentioned

Its was N76900 back then Jan 2019.
Was at slot 2 weeks ago, it's now 99k.
Note. After y9 2019, came y9 prime with fast charge and the pop up selfie camera, followed by the y9 s.
The later 2 are now over 100k sadly.

Am using a Chinese version Xiaomi and I had to install my own Google Apps..
And I can categorically say that your assumptions are false..
Gapps Installer Apps can be found on reputable App Stores and there's no particular risk involved..
No root and no flashing of Rom,just download the App..
Click and all Google Apps gets installed..
As simple as that..
And it's not as if the Google Apps are somehow Fake and malicious..
