The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan stated that lawmakers are to meet President Buhari over the insurgency in the country. The meeting will consist of lawmakers in the upper chamber and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila. They would meet President Muhammadu Buhari to discuss the resurgence of insurgency in the country.

The decision to meet President Buhari over the insurgency in the country was raised by Abubakar Kyari(Borno-APC). Kyari raised a Point of Order during Thursday’s plenary and it was jointly adopted.
Mr Kyari said there was a need to find lasting solutions to matters which were of urgent national importance.

He said the attack by Boko Haram on a village in Gubio Local Government in Borno on June 9 left more than 90 persons killed. It also left over 50 persons critically injured...

I remember when Buhari started off by giving every sensitive security appointment to his “kit and kin”. Some argued it didn’t matter even if the whole team came from Daura as long as the officers were competent. Where is Amadi Oha? Where is Okolo Oteri? Where is Ihejirika? Where are all these people and many more? All these people supported Buhari at a time only madmen would play solidarity. Is the mass murder that is happening even in the President’s home state the competence they talked about? Yes, Nigeria as a country is not really structured to succeed, but within the desolation, Buhari has actually shown an exceptional level of incompetence. This is a man who is failing woefully in an arena that was supposed to be an area of projected strength.
