Nigeria's First lady, Aisha Buhari has called on the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to release her assigned staff, citing COVID-19 fears.

POLITICS NIGERIA learned that Mrs Buhari is currently embroiled in a battle with certain forces in Aso-rock leading to the detention of her personal security staff.

President Buhari’s Personal Assistant and Private Secretary, Sabiu ‘Tunde’ Yusuf is currently at loggerheads with the first lady after she denied him entry into Aso-rock. She reportedly ordered that Tunde should go on mandatory 2-week self-isolation as he recently returned from a trip to Lagos.

Yusuf who is reportedly one of the most influential people around President Buhari flatly refused and pushed his way into the Villa.

Worried that his presence could expose them to danger, the first family intervened in the matter on Thursday but things quickly spiralled out of control after the security attached to the First Lady, Aisha Buhari, moved in and had Yusuf removed from the Presidential Villa. Miffed by this, Tunde had the First Lady's ADC, Usman Shugaba, Escort Commander and other policemen attached to the first family arrested and detained.

Confirming the report on Friday night, Mrs Buhari took to Twitter to call on the IG of Police to release the security men. She tweeted;

"That Covid-19 is real and still very much around in our nation is not in doubt. Consequently, I call on all relevant Government Agencies to enforce the Quarantine Act signed by Mr President and ensure no one is found violating this law and the NCDC guidelines."

"Especially on interstate travel without the necessary exemptions for movement of essentials. Anyone who does that should at the very least be made to undergo 14 days mandatory isolation no matter who the person is, no one should be above the law and the Police command"

"That Covid-19 is real and still very much around in our nation is not in doubt. Consequently, I call on all relevant Government Agencies to enforce the Quarantine Act signed by Mr. President and ensure no one is found violating this law and the NCDC guidelines will do well to remember that."

"Finally, I call on the IGP to release my assigned Staff who are still in the custody of the Police in order to avoid putting their lives in danger or exposure to Covid-19 while in their custody."

Who do we believe?
Sahara reporters said it was the ADC that prevented Tunde..
Now, PoliNGR is claiming it was Aisha

Whatever it is, it is clear we aren't in the regime where a shippotamus First lady could order her husband to go wash the car

But, let's be frank, are we sure Buhari is truly in power? How can an ordinary Personal Assistant have the First Lady's ADC, Escort Commander and policemen attached to the first family arrested and detained?? Such effrontery!
Something fishy is going on in that Aso rock that we don't know yet.

If the IGP is not with the cabal or does not fear the cabal then the first ladies security details will not spend more than a night in police custody....

Obviously the IGP is either with the cabal or fears them

Everything still boils down to one thing...

Is either Nnamdi Kanu is right on Buhari or he's not aware of happenings around him or he don't just give a fuvk about his wife and family

what's going on here?

Buhari is a man sha. He's going to be the only president in recent memory who didn't allow his wife to rule us or have too much power. The people around the president should stop taking advantage of that to disrespect her. You no fit try Turai and PEJ like that.

Oga oh

I regret supporting Buhari in 2015 and 2019, despite his strive in infrastructural development

He has failed so far in Security and Economic development even worst than Jonathan did.

We thought we have seen it all with the way Patience Jonathan dragged Nigeria through the mud during Jonathan's time as president.

Now, we have simply moved to another low with everyone in the government doing as they like

Buhari himself keeps giving us pre recorded speech like we were back in the 1980s.

I have given up on Nigeria. tbh

We can now clearly see Buhari isn't incharge of anything in this country. Imagine what's playing out in Aso rock. Some times I begin to think if the conspiracy of a Jubrin in Aso rock is actually true.

angry

Where is the president in all this?

He's probably locked up in a wardrobe and brought out occasionally to either read speech or do photo-ops with his vice president.

Shame of a nation.

It is obvious that Mr President is brain dead.

I knew the Season 2 of Game of thrones of the Aso R*ck was loading and it is finally hear.

I just can't wait for Season 3. It promises to be captivating like the first 2 Seasons.

I give respect to this Sahara Reporters guys that first broke the news. The way those guys they get insider information on the latest in Aso R*ck ehh I just wonder whether they have planted hidden camera inside Aso R*ck because their news is usually spot on and timely.
