it is now clear to the current governor of Edo state Nigeria that he would not be going into the polls under the platform of APC after he was disqualified by the APC screening committee for a ridiculous reason. The reason is that in he has 3 credits in his O' level and they were surprised how he got admission into UI, also in his certificate there is a mistake in the spelling of his name which did not match with his original name. the question is, why was it discovered now and not four years ago when he submitted his documents. Oshiomole who is the current chairman of APC did not find any fault with the name ALIU which is originally ALIYU as you can hear him from the video, why should OBASEK be a problem for OBASEKI as part of the things that disqualified him, Recall that there is also a controversy in the spelling of the name of our president in his certificate MOHAMMED instead of MUHAMMADU, why is Obaseki a different case?

Who knows obaseki before 2016?? Oshiomole brought him to govt, and now Osho has sent him back. U can't pledge loyalty wen u need some then turn around to fight the person and expect no consequences

In my own opinion, very very very simple answer bro, apart from other hush hush political undertone, there is now a precedent with the Bayelsa State Case and any party that fields a candidate with name discrepancies no matter how insignificant risk loosing out eventually.
But on the contrary, some of the issues had been in the political and public domain for about 4 years, i remember, in 2016, PDP went as far as requesting the high court for details of the affidavit extended to Governor Obaseki over the certificate issues during the last governorship election in Edo State. So why didn't Governor Obaseki try at least to correct the discrepancies and abnormalities since 2016 even as a sitting governor?
Why wasting precious time fighting Former Governor Oshiomole instead of putting himself and his certificates in shape??
As a sitting Governor, if he goes to meet the DG of NYSC, it wont take him more than a week maximum to correct any typo error on his NYSC Certificate, rather he was busying making noise with the likes of kabaka and bank rolling the removal of HE Oshiomole as APC Chairman.
Why didn't politrickcians like the noisy and eloquent Deputy Governor, Charles Idahosa, the party chairman, the Governor's Chief of Staff and all those his "Edo is not Lagos crew" assist him to sort the discrepancies all along when they all saw how the Bayelsa State certificate issue(s) played and still playing out?
Why didn't he just stick to his SSCE Certificate like HE, Former Governor Aregbesola of the State of Osun instead of presenting the error laden certificates?
We all saw how the PDP almost used some of the mentioned discrepancies to pull the rug off his feet in 2016, why wait till after he was disqualified before crying over split milk??
Very simple, he and most of his followers are not strategic fighters, rather they are just a bunch of eloquent strategic noise makers!
If you want to bite any finger, including the one that feeds you, bite it very well but make sure that your fingers are very clean and well hidden in your pockets.

oga verify news before coming here to spew trash.
obaseki has 3 credits in his O' level and they were surprised how he got admission into UI with that result and yet was able to finish a four years course in 3 years.
these are certificate disperancies.

get your acts right.
if it were spelling errors, obaseki would have file for an avidavit and fought the case legally.

He Obaseki knows he has issues with those certificates this is why he is not challenging his disqualification...He who lives in a glass house shouldn't throw stones.
