Cheating on my spouse is a popular term used by most people today to water down the term Adultery. Adultery is the proper term that is why it is used in the bible to describe an illicit affair between a married person and another person who is not their spouse. Spiritually, it is wrong to say I am Cheating on my spouse for the following reasons:

1. You are Cheating on God not your spouse.

Was it your spouse that wrote the commandment, thou shall not commit adultery? No. It was Almighty God as recorded in Ex 20:14 . When you commit adultery you cheat on God because he gave the law not your spouse. Heb 13:4 says, Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

2. You are Cheating your Spirit not your spouse.

Man is a spirit being. We only bear our mortal body on this earth. The moment we die, we take our spirit form to eternity. Adultery, as well as every other sexual immorality is a sin of the flesh. When you commit adultery, you satisfy your flesh (body) and your spirit suffers the risk of eternal damnation. When you commit adultery, you open your soul to attacks of the evil one. When you commit adultery, your soul suffers been separated from God who should be your first love till you repent and resolve not to do it again.
My wife is fat and quarelsome is not an excuse on that day. I did it to avenge my husband's adulterous act is also not an excuse.
Committing adultery will not make your spouse go to hell or suffer earthly separation from God because we all bear our sins.

Adultery as well as other types of sexual immorality is so grave that St. Paul warned strongly against it in[b] 1 Cor 6:18
Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.[/b]

How to avoid committing adultery and other types sexual immorality
Adultery is one of the the greatest weapons of the devil in his arsenal. He has been on this game for centuries and with each day, he is getting better. Polyamorous marriages and having side pieces is almost a norm and many Christians are sadly falling for this trap.

1. Denounce every sinful logic that promotes adultery.
E.g "Man is polygamous by nature", "a woman can't be eating the same soup every day", "a side chick saves marriage", "Solomon had many concubines" ( this was under the old law and they also paid some form bride price for them). The mind is very powerful, if it accepts these fallacies then it is one step away from falling. Make up your mind not to allow your body which dies on earth be the reason why your spirit will not enjoy eternal life with God.

2. Stay away from things that introduce lust to your soul.
Be mindful of the kind of things you watch and see. Stay away from music videos, porn, songs and films that promote lust. There are zillions of them out there fighting hard to trap souls with lust. Matt 5:28 says,
But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
It is best to listen to gospel songs and messages.
Stay away from ungodly business associates and friends that encourage such lifestyle.
Don't be too close to any member of the opposite sex that is not a family member. James 4:7 says Resist the Devil and he will flee.

3. Stay away from churches that falsify the doctrine of Grace.
Amongst all the heresies been inspired by the devil, the doctrine that your past, present and future sins are covered by Grace so feel free to sin is the worst of all lies invented by the devil himself. And most Christians keep falling for it, even though deep down they know the truth, but continue because it is very convenient for their lifestyles.
Eph 5:5 says, For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

4. Read and understand your Bible frequently.
Reading, proclaiming and absorbing the Word of God is one of the most effective ways to keep the spirit of lust away.

5. Pray fervently to overcome adultery
Prayer, is the master key.
Always pray to God for the Grace not to commit adultery or fall for a temptation to commit adultery (this is what Grace does not the opposite). Pray with faith and Our Lord will answer you. 1 Cor 10:13 says,
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

If you have fallen for the sin of adultery, approach God and beg for his forgiveness. 1 Jn 1:9 says, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Make up your mind not to do it again. Stay as far away from your adulterous partner and remove anything that introduces lust to you. There is no repentance in the grave.

In the physical, committing adultery may affect your spouse health (HIV & STD) and emotional wellbeing. But, that is little when compared with how betrayed God feels and what your spirit gets to experience.

I end with 1 Cor 6:9-10, Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

God never endorsed that act in the Bible like Allah endorsed Muhammad taking over the wife of his adopted son, Zaid. Zaid saw Muhammad as a father figure but the same mentor took his only wife from him

Muhammad was never like the Biblical David that killed to marry a woman!

And to prove that the holy God didn't support such a sinful act, David was punished for his crime but the immoral Allah endorsed Muhammad's action and also rewarded him by giving him numerous list of the women he could marry and sleep with. It was so bad that before any muslim man could declare an interest to marry any woman they had to find out if Muhammad was not interested in marrying the same woman first. Muhammad's major mission was to kill, steal and to destroy like the Biblical thief and in addition to sleep with numerous women and he did everything.

No christian will deny that Jesus died for their sin, no christian will deny that his life was ransomed for us and that was why Jesus declared on the cross that 'it is finished' our animal sacrifices is finished because he ransomed his life. The bone of contention here is that you lied and added to the words of God (and hence your calamities) by saying that God killed him, God didn't kill him, humans killed him and that was made possible because he chose to die for us, and glory be to God, Jesus resurrected again as death couldn't hold him down. He defeated death, he had the last laugh over death. Unfortunately, same cant be said about Muhammad who died and despite not buried for 3 days(because his followers were not at peace and were busy fighting over who will be Muhammad's successor) he remained dead forever and rotten in the grave, death defeated him and death had the last laugh on him and till date his followers are not at peace with one another, Shias always at war with Sunni and at each other's neck, shedding each other's blood.

Abraham slaughtered Ram in place of Ishmael.

Abraham did it only once and it was symbolic as God stopped him from sacrificing Isaac (the Quran never claimed it was Ishmael that Abraham wanted to sacrifice, that was a lie cooked up by your muslims) and God provided an animal in place of Isaac and the prophecy was fulfilled when Christ's life was ransomed for our lives and that ended the era of animal sacrifice forever, but Muhammad that was born more than 500 years after Christ had resurrected came to take you to the era of animal sacrifice because as demon that tormented him in the cave of Hira lied to him.

Even two birds was slaughtered for Jesus in Luke.

Christians are not mandated to kill anything as sacrifice during naming ceremony, those that kill any form of animals don't call it sacrifice as you call Aqiqah which is is the "Islamic tradition of the sacrifice of an animal on the occasion of a child's birth." in which you must kill the animal while facing the direction of Kaaba, the home and shrine of your idol, Allah.
Christians that kill animals kill to celebrate and feed people who come to rejoice with them and it is not a sacrifice neither is it mandatory, you may choose to buy frozen chicken or even fish and you may share ordinary biscuit and soft drinks which is contrary to islamic sacrifice which is compulsory to "pa sunna"

The leader of the islamic community that ought to be a peacemaker didn't call Zainab to order to respect her husband and to stop them from going on with the divorce. The Quran even showed us how insincere Muhammad's advice to Zaid to keep his wife was because we were made to know that while muhammad was giving that advice he had alread concealed in his heart the desire to marry Zainab. Jesus preached against divorce and only permitted it if there is adultery on the part of the couple, Muhammad endorsed divorce even when there was nothing like adultery but just because he wanted to marry the wife of his adopted son. Antichristian for justifying what Muhammad did, that means you can also do the same: marry the wife of someone who had lived with you since he was 8, that you adopted and that by tradition of adoption of that time, people call him your son.

The incest happened for many reasons, you would have known if you were really a christian before and not only a church goer that only swallow what fake pastors feed you with in churches instead of you reading the scriptures by yourself.

Lot out of greed chose a very fertile land rather than allowing God to direct him, the land later became Sodom and Gomorrah. When God wanted to destroy that city and God decided to save Lot and his family, Lot's wife disobeyed God's command by looking back and she became a pillar of salt. The act of disobedience made Lot to be left with only her daughters without their mother. The daughters then decided to commit an abominable act without their father's consent. If their parent had taught them the ways of the Lord, such wouldn't have happened, if their mother didnt disobey God such wouldnt have happened. You cant blame God for your stupidity, whatever a man sows he will reap

Find verses that say he was given birth to by the Prophet!

If he was given birth to by Muhammad, he wouldn't have been referred to as an adopted son. Be applying common sense na.

Now, back to my claim that an adopted son enjoyed the same right as a biological son, i will give you the proof:

In the Prelslamic period of ignorance the custom was that, if one adopted a son, the people would call him by the name of the adopted-father whom he would inherit as well, till Allah revealed: "Call them (adopted sons) By (the names of) their fathers." (33.5)

But when Allah revealed the Divine Verses: 'Call them by (the names of) their fathers . . . your freed-slaves,' (33.5) the adopted persons were called by their fathers' names. The one whose father was not known, would be regarded as a Maula and your brother in religion. Later on Sahla bint Suhail bin `Amr Al-Quraishi Al-`Amiri-- and she was the wife of Abu- Hudhaifa bin `Utba--came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! We used to consider Salim as our (adopted) son, and now Allah has revealed what you know (regarding adopted sons)." The sub-narrator then mentioned the rest of the narration."

We used not to call Zaid bin Haritha the freed slave of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) except Zaid bin Muhammad till the Qu'anic Verse was revealed: "Call them (adopted sons) by (the names of) their fathers. That is more than just in the Sight of Allah." (33.5)

During the Jahiliyyah, if a man adopted someone, the people would call him his son, and he would inherit from his legacy, until Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, revealed about that: 'Call them by (the names of) their fathers, that is more just with Allah. But if you know not their fathers' (names, call them) your brothers in Faith and Mawalikum (your freed slaves)." Then if a person's father's name was not known, he would be their freed slave and brother in faith.

if someone bears your name as his surname and would inherit your property and legacy, is called your heir, what other more benefit or right does a biological child enjoy that is above this?
