Is Voting Really Our Civic Responsility? by thweraja10: 10:48am On Jan 28, 2011
Its in the constitution that voting is the civic responsibility of any Citizen 18 and above. But considering the state of things in Nigeria where the Government failed in its own civic responsibility and now you see advert every where reminding us of our own civic responsibility to vote just for their own selfish goals. Do you now think we should go through the stress of voting just to fulfil our own responsibility cos the Government has failed in its own responsibility.

The only time they act to care is during election. What do our Leaders take us for? I think its high time we make them dance to our tunes. They are the leaders but they are there to serve and not to take us for granted.

NOTE: Im not against voting but im against the Governmnet taking us for fools and taking us for granted. May be its high time we start sensitizing the people on our hood on the need not to sell their vote for cos its like their birth right, which must be guided and preserved
