Ace SuperSport presenter, Thomas Mlambo believes the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) is the future of Nigerian football.

- Vote for Nigeria's 50 greatest players

Mlambo, the latest in of our star cast guest on our regular Livechat feature was fielding questions from readers of SuperSport.com.

Mlambo said future great players of Nigeria’s National teams would come from the Nigerian League.

“The NPL is the future of nigerian football, this is the breeding ground for the Daniel Amokachis and Austin Okochas of Nigeria,” he said.

Mlambo however called on the officials and administrators of the league to “try and get things right” with a view to getting the fans back to the stadium during domestic matches.

He said the importance of having full stadiums during matches could not be over emphasized.

“In terms of learning, the league is getting a lot right, soon with better stadiums and more passion from the Nigerian media for the local game.

The NPL matches will be played to full stadiums and broadcast to millions more homes, on Superport , of course,” he chirped.

A South African, Mlambo also reflected on the 2010 Fifa World Cup hosted by his country.

“The best world cup ever, the first in history broadcast in HD, the first in history to be followed by as many online and social media users, making it the most talked about world cup ever!

And your world of champions (SupereSport) built a new multimilion rand studio, just for the event and filled with superstars like Bolo Zenden, John Barnes, Sammy Kuffour, the bull Amokachi, and more,

It was the best and will be the best for a long time to come,” he said.
