Ajimobi Buried In Ibadan Amid Tight Security by Nemere2020: 11:34am On Jun 28, 2020
The remains of former Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, have been laid to rest in Ibadan on Sunday.

Ajimobi was buried according to Islamic rites at his 6th Avenue, Yemoja Street, Oluyole Estate residence in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, amid tight security.

The Agodi GRA, which was the preferred choice by the Ajimobi family, was not approved by the Oyo State Government on the ground that there was litigation on the property.

The late Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress was laid to rest at 10:05am.

Ajimobi, aged 70, was confirmed dead at a Lagos hospital after illness relating to multiple organ failure.

The late politician was reportedly buried in strict compliance with the the COVID-19 protocols.

Less than 20 people, including wife of the former governor, Chief Florence Ajimobi, and other members of his immediate family, were in attendance.

Fierce looking armed policemen were strategically positioned at the residence of the deceased.

Movements in and out of the neighbourhood were controlled as the burial ceremony held.

Party faithful and other loyalists of the late politician were barred from the scene of the burial.

At 12 noon, prayers would be held for his repose at the Senator Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi Mosque, Oke-Ado, Ibadan.

From what I read earlier, his aide said, that he had promised that he will be living the hospital at 2.00pm and that he told him not to worry...Just after he signed some documents....

This was the same scenario that took place before Abba Kyari kicked the bucket...He was said to be recovering and was in good health and then suddenly his health took a different turn and he gave up the ghost....

God no go shame us.....

A man who had given himself 70yrs knew what was coming....

Exactly what Nollywood movies have been teaching us.

Ki oluwa mu erupe buburu kuro loju re. Ki oluwa te si afefe rere. From the dust we came, unto dust we shall return. No matter how powerful you are, you will surely die one day. Be good.

There's a term SURGE normally used medically or so to say where one tends to appear physically and mentally fit after a long term of being terminally sick or sudden fatal accidents unexpectedly... One minute you think the patient is getting better but not knowing that his/her time is up....

Have had experience of it.. I think same happened with both men

Doctors should please help out

Death is an inevitable end.

Ajimobi's death will be amongst every other thing remembered for the drama his associates acted even in his demise. Some politicians have pushed desperation to its most shameful limit.

Any case, you cannot hide some truths for long. For some truths must be very obvious for it to be considered truths. RIP to him.
