CRS fire service is nothing to write home about. Lack of man power and equipment to combat fire outback.

The only thing CRS government knows how to do, is to put Ayade is Working on everything street. ..

It is both sad and unfortunate.

If you tell them to take out fire and all risks insurance, they will tell you that insurance is fraud. Some will go further to tell you that God is their insurance and the very spiritual among them will quote the bible and tell you that if the Lord does not guide the city, it is in vain that the watchman has labored. Meanwhile the government they are asking to come to their aid and rescue have insurance in place for everything knowing that things can go wrong. Nigerians are just roundly backward.

Oyibo man is not crying because of the riots, flood, fire, etc because there is rock solid insurance in place.

This was the same market where traders closed down for one day in protest against kidnappings in the city. Weeks later, it is gutted by fire. Mere coincidence?

Southerners, are your eyes not yet open? Are you not seeing the cleansing going on? All of a sudden within 7 months virtually almost all major markets in the south have gone up in flames something that has not happened all through 60 years of Nigeria's existence. Its no coincidence, the "so-called" numerous tanker expolsions, the premature explosion of conveyed explosives, the numerous burning of markets.
All these are part of the strategy!!!
Stay woke, the only thing that would put a halt to the plans total annihilation in southern nigeria is total separation of the entities that make up this contraption.
Stay Woke!!

Pah, wars, civil strife, deaths, reorganising entire nations, etc, complex and unnecessary.

Much simpler, looking at markets:
What about something as simple as that perhaps the time is ripe for the evolution of markets in Nigeria? No fancily building necessary, although the chance would be a fine thing; build better wooden structures, provide better means of disposing junk and rubbish, build taking into consideration Health and Safety. Build with considerations to rains and storms, organise insurance specific to markets, organise for fire prevention and fighting and so on

Since markets play a huge role in the lives of Nigerians and the nation’s economy perhaps Nigeria needs to create a ministry for the Informal markets or state governments create a role for someone as inspector general of Markets… tongue

Whatever the case may be, Nigeria needs to take these markets more seriously, respect and embrace them rather than perceive them as embarrassing third world relics to be gotten rid of as soon as the nation is able to organise self more in line with Europe and the West.

Another nice angle to look at it as well....but not all the markets burnt were made of sticks and corrugated roofing sheets. An example is the 3x idumota fires were all 5 storey buildings that were totally consumed on three different occasions.

I get your point anyways, its a nice addition to the earlier posted message. Observing the recent happenings in the last 5 years, one can allege that there's an agenda to all these killings, fires and displacement of citizens.

SOLUTION:
LET ALL MAJOR MARKETS BE BUILT BLOCKS AND DECKED CONCRETE.

THAT IS THE ANTIDOTE FOR FIRE OF THIS NATURE.

Which year will that one happen?

Style, when that becomes a goal set by the stakeholders (traders, market union, the state government or jointly), once it becomes a goal for them, it will be achieved in a not too long a time.
