RE: OPM SHUTS DOWN ITS FREE SPECIALIST HOSPITAL IN ALUU

I attended an emergency meeting of Aluu people this morning presided by Barr. Stanley Oji, Chairman Aluu CDC. The purpose is on the above subject matter. OPM G.O addressed the Press yesterday 4 July, 2020 and said "beginning from today 5 July, 2020, OPM FRESS SPECIALIST HOSPITAL IN ALUU is shut down because of "huge levies charged his Church Free Specialist Hospital by Aluu Community."

Let me begin by correcting the wrong impression and state clearly and correctly too that the aforementioned hospital is located in just one Community by name Omuahunwo Community in Aluu Clan. So, it is Omuahunwo Community not the whole of Aluu Clan as wrongly stated in the Press Release. Let it also be stated that Aluu Clan did not serve any notice of payment to OPM. This was categorically stated by the Leadership in Aluu during our meeting this morning.

It is important to state that just few days ago, precisely on 1 July, 2020 Aluu Clan Leadership met at Aluu Police Station where CP Rivers State was invited though represented wherein boys who repented from cult activities sequel to Aluu OSPAC activities and the peace now enjoyed by all surrendered all their weapons. The G.O OPM was there live and prayed for the repented cultists. I am putting up the above to show the cordial relationship that exists between OPM and Aluu Clan. Thus assuming though not conceding that the host Community of its Free Specialist Hospital which is Omuahunwo Community and not Aluu Clan as erroneously presented served him with any outrageous bill, I would expected him to reach out to the larger Aluu Clan Leadership which has remained in good relationship with him, his church and numerous estates located in Aluu Clan and seek for their involvement so that the whole issues would have been settled amicably without resorting to Press.

Back to our meeting this morning. We investigated the allegation and found that Aluu Clan did not serve any notice regarding bills. The truth rather is that Aluu Clan Leadership met and agreed on how to pay our security outfit (ALUU OSPAC) some stipends at the end of the month. It was agreed that each of the nine Communities in Aluu Clan should #100k each which will total #900k. The Aluu OSPAC is made of five persons from each of the nine Communities. A quick calculation will reveal that #900k divided by the 45 man security outfit is #20k each as monthly stipends. So each Community proceeded to raising modalities on how to raise the money. Omuahunwo Community served bill of #5k, I repeat #5k to organizations like hospital doing business in their Community as security levy. The OPM FREE SPECIALIST HOSPITAL CMD was also served and he reached back to them saying they are a charitable organization. He was asked to inform the G.O and he accepted to get back to the community this week. Next was the Press Release by OPM saying he was charged outrageous bill for security. The Omuahunwo Community which is the host of OPM FREE SPECIALIST HOSPITAL has asked Aluu Clan Leadership to challenge OPM to post to the public the so called "huge bill" that is making them shut down.

I would have expected OPM Hospital to return back first to their landlord Community and make a case that they are into charity works as such should be exempted from the payment just as churches are exempted cos they pray for Aluu peace and stability. Lastly, I believe OPM and Aluu Clan Leadership will meet on a round table with Omuahunwo Community the host to resolve this issues and continue to stay amicably. On a parting note, I wish to tell the world that Aluu Clan is a peaceful Kingdom with highly exposed people both in public and private sectors. Aluu Clan is accommodating.

Anytime I hear Aluu, I remember the innocently killed Aluu 4 Uniport student.
Peaceful community indeueed.
Don't know how the case was finally judged.
Instead of making a counter press release, they should have done the reconciliation meetng and now inform the world of what transpired.

OP as a barrister , I believe you understand equity and fairness.
You said each organisation was served with a #5k bill, was that notice done through writing or through oral communication?

If it was done through writing please kindly post the notice here so we will be sure of what is going on.

If it was done through oral communication, how sure are you the person or people you sent demanded for only #5k considering the antecedents of the present day Rivers State youths?

Second observation:

You said you each of the clans is to raise #100k, and organisations doing businesses are charged #5k, the question now is how many of such organisations are found in that clan?

What about the indegenes of that community, how much are they contributing to that #100k?

Barr. When you do a thorough and critical analysis of what you just wrote, sincerely it is indicting on your person, looks as if there is a collaboration, please a lot of things don't add up.

My humble advice, take this post down. Since you people are already meeting on the subject matter, that's a good one. Let ALUU leaders reach out to OPM and find a Concord on the matter.

Not to discriminate or anything ,Ikwerres are fond of " matching ground money" and different irrelevant tasks .

I remember vividly , during the Amaechi tenure when he wanted to fix the the St John's,Ogbogoro to Ozuoba road ,they chased the contractors away , because they didn't pay "matching ground money".

Pay you to repair your own road

Trust Amaechi ,he abandoned the road till Wike Came on.

They have ALWAYS been like that!

OPM wouldn't have closed down that hospital because " of 5k security levy"

You cant blame OPM. They obviously felt insulted by the 5k bill you served them. It is obvious the community doesnt appreciate what they are doing.....

Even at that Amaechi tarred the road to beyond Rumuokwachi and had hardcore laid all the way to Rumuolumeni. Fear God. Fear the god of the land before they act against you. Stop hating Ikwerre people.

At a time,they tried fixing the Okwachi/ Ozuoba axis but left it half way and it got worse than it was.
That road was left undone for years till Wike fixed it.

I was plying that road everyday for years.
At a time,they tried fixing the Okwachi/ Ozuoba axis but left it half way and it got worse than it was.

All I can tell you is fear God. May it be well with you if what you are saying is the truth.
Your family nay be staying in my house in Egbelu.
I have told what happened. You might have heard what you relied on, it is never the truth.
It was said but Ogbogoro Council of Chiefs and Elders immediately carried out an investigation and realised it never happened.
