LAGOS –

Abioye Joshua Oluwadamilare, A Social Crusader, has called on the National Assembly to initiate and pass a bill making it mandatory for all civil servants and public office holders to patronise Nigeria’s health and educational institutions.

Oluwadamilare said for Nigerians to get it right in the 2023 political dispensation, they must insist that all political appointees and “all our leaders from the ward Councillor up to the president must by law have their immediate family members residing and schooling within the country and have their health attended to right here in Nigeria.”

He said further: “It’s time Nigerians started demanding for the legislature to pass a mandatory bill to the effect that from 2023, civil servants and political office holders, all who earn salaries from tax payers’ purse must patronise our public facilities such as educational and health institutions.”

He contended that Nigeria's health and education systems collapsed because those at the helm of affairs have their children schooling abroad and run to developed countries like United States, Germany, China and India for their medical needs.

Oluwadamilare said when those entrusted with the responsibilities of overseeing Nigeria’s education and health systems were not patronising such institutions in the country, the institutions were bound to collapse as is the case at present and they do not care a hoot.

Consequently, he said the criteria for electing people for public offices come 2023 must be that all their children and other family members were attending schools in Nigeria and patronise the local health institutions.

He noted that if these steps were not taken come 2023, “we would still be ranting on social media while our students would be struggling to school in Sudan or even Somalia; our public hospitals would still be asking us to pay for ordinary syringes and our spiritual leaders would keep telling us to say, “Prayer for Nigeria in Distress.”

It's very possible Bro. But as Nigerians, we must Pay our Tax no matter how little. Then demand or setting rules on how it's spent as their paymasters. Remember, our tax pays their bills.
So it's our duty to start taking steps

Please the moderator here should help move this to front page, so Nigerians can be informed and demand for better future.
Rather than for us to be debating and fighting over the incompetence of our Leaders, this is what we should be bringing to the table.
There is hope.
God Bless Nigerians!!!
