Unbelievable!!! That is if this is true, what could be responsible for this? How can someone fall from such a position to begging? This is practical demonstration of 'grace to grass'

nothing wrong here... unless you start thinking like an African and believe that he should have stolen a few millions, abi?

many people who once worked with the dictator Mobutu are now out the gov (because nobody trusts these people), and unless they had special skills to start from the beginning again, most would be jobless too.

btw his name is Mutombo Kalombo and he was Mobutu special adviser on rural issues

if he is mentally stable then that is a real fall to grass story, his benefactor is no more alive, there are many fall to grass politicians in our society. Once their benefactor leaves power, they end up broke. I can see why all these politician wanna give themselves billions in pension.

if he had advise the president well to provide amenities for the people when he was in power maybe he wont be begging today.

The mindset of an average Nigerians is why corruption is soooo rampant in Nigeria and the reasons why Nigerians kick against corruption is NOT because they like the fight against corruption or because they believe in the struggle but it's simply because they are far down below in the foodchain that even the leftover is not even accessible by them. (If these persons are given position they will do far worse that those they presently complain about).

The pictures (if it's true) then what is wrong with it? Instead of Nigerians to be more concerned with the service the S.A (as he then was) rendered while in service if it's laudable, we are more concerned on why he is poor and a beggar on the street years after service, it is for this reason that politicians keep looting the national treasury with reckless abandon so that up to their 6th generation won't trend on social media that their great grand grand grand father/mother was an S.A or President or Governor.

Sincerely we have to change our mentality. What happened to good name? When did we get it wrong? Where did we get it wrong ? Is there hope for the future?

Dont you think all politicians don't reason this and perhaps that is why they amass wealth by all means? so that their community/Nigerians would still respect them after service because they feel Nigerians would rather talk about their wealth after service than talk about their contributions while in service.

Nigerians crying against corruption are still the ones giving corrupt politicians the reason to keep looting. Now!!!! Think it for a second don't you think you need a change of mentality.

Sincerely sometimes I feel the place now called Nigeria around the period of 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, first quarter of 70's is fair better than now and because some comments above make me think we don't know how well and how far other countries (not first world countries let's leave those ones, I'm talking about fellow Africa countries) have far left Nigeria behind.

How many Nigerian know our history we all waiting for saviour whereas those that cry the most for a saviour will be the first person to trade the saviour for a pot of portage. We are waiting for a change why don't YOU be that change.
