Relax, it’s not a big deal. We all have questions yet to be answered but with the right source, we become satisfied with the answers we get.

WHAT IS A FORUM?

A forum according to the cambridge dictionary, is “a situation or meeting in which people can talk about a problem or matter especially of public interest ”.

For instance, on a beautiful evening, you’re invited by your dad to a place where a group of men and women are gathered, discussing and deliberating on how best the drainage pipe slide would be constructed for easy flow of water for the interest of the everyone in your town. Nairaland is that forum. This time around it’s not that forum where you go with your dad and sit in a place.

Rather it’s a forum where you discuss, deliberate on absolutely everything with your mobile phones, laptops, ipads, computers etc. Most times to get a solution to a problem, sometimes not.

NAIRALAND

Nairaland is a Nigerian forum founded by Oluwaseun Osewa, in 2005.

Yes, it has been in existence since 2005.

With over 2 million members and over 5 million topics since inception. Nairaland is noted as the biggest forum in Africa and the third biggest worldwide and has the potential of earning $250,000 (NGN 96.8 million) monthly see wealthresult.

This definitely left my jaw wide and I’m like, Wow!

Imagine owning a platform online that pays you that huge amount of money monthly.

Take your mind that far! Close your eyes and imagine but hey, don’t sleep off.

Here, you will understand the feel of Nigerian’s politics. It doesn’t matter if you’re politically inclined or not, this section will definitely give you that hysteria about leadership and governorship routines in Nigeria.

You’ll also find a section for foreign politics- all non related Nigerian politics are discussed here. This is mostly covered by foreigners and Nigerian diasporas. You can as well find what’s happening worldwide in this part of Politics.

4:Jobs/Vacancies; As human beings, we are bound to work in order for us to eat. This work varies in different ways and means. And we always want it to be legit.

You are probably done with school. And you’ve been searching for a job.

NYSC acronym for National Youth Service Corps. Founded in 1973. It was established for Nigerian graduates to serve the nation for a period of one year before leaving for the labour market.

From that moment onward, I became addicted to this section, I was always busy reading stories by amazing writers and this kept me late at night.

In the year 2016, I joined Nairaland officially and became a member.

Fast forward to present day. I’ve always been on one or two books, enjoying those captivating imaginary worlds through writing.
