In the selective spirit of wokeness as amplified by BLM and several spawned SJW movements searching for historical villains to hang all real and imaginary societal burdens on, I hereby declare that the capital of Nigeria be renamed immediately.

Port Harcourt should not be the only city to have a demand of name change citing the colonial figure it was named after. Lagos, which was named by the Portogese slave traders must also have it's name changed. Tinubu square should revert back to Independence Square which is what it was before Jakande decided to honor a notorious slave trader. But most pressing is the twin cities of Abuja and Suleja which owe their names to two Arab slave raiders - Abu and Suleiman.

These two Arab slave raiders deciminated the populations and civilizations of the Gbagi people.

So vicious was their slave raiding that the Gbagi people who occupied the fertile open woodland low land areas of both present day Abuja and Suleja had to seek refuge in the surrounding hillsides that dot the area.
